"The Cosby Show" star Keshia Knight Pulliam wants her estranged husband, Ed Hartwell, tossed in jail for allegedly refusing to take a paternity test.
The former couple has been warring for quite some time, and he's implied that her unborn baby isn't his. In July, he requested a paternity test.
In new court documents, Keshia said she's already submitted her court ordered DNA sample, but Ed has not. TMZ, who acquired the court papers, says the actress wants a judge to find him in contempt, and lock him up until he hands over his sample.
In the same filing, she indicates that she and Ed have guns registered to both their names. She now wants him to register the firearms solely under his name to cut ties with him. She claims he has an "uncontrollable temper" in the documents.
The duo's divorce is volatile. In September, she wanted the former NFL star locked up for financial purposes, claiming he agreed to pay her a confidential amount of money after he filed for divorce in July. But, according to TMZ, she then said that Ed had skipped making the payment, despite the fact that she'd asked for it multiple times. She asked that he be thrown in jail for that.
This claim came a day after a report that police were called to Keshia's Atlanta home after her mother refused to allow Ed inside to collect his belongings.
In the most recently filing, Keshia is asking the judge to order Ed to pay half her moving fees and household bills from the home they shared.
Keshia, who played the lovable Rudy Huxtable, married Ed on New Year's Day, just a few days after they became engaged. On July 17, she announced her pregnancy news on Instagram, holding up a cupcake with pink frosting.
However, a week later, Ed filed for divorce.
"Right now, the only thing I want is a paternity test for the baby," he told TheYBF at the time, indicating he felt she'd been unfaithful.
An insider told People that he found the timing of his wife's pregnancy strange given that they've been "in a very tough spot in their relationship."
"It's just that he had told her he wanted to wait before having a baby and things got really bad between them and then she pops up pregnant," the source said.
That could be why Ed's divorce filing specified that one of the couple's irreconcilable differences involved "constant disagreements on life changing decisions that couples typically make together."
