Against all odds is right! Phil Collins is set to remarry his third ex-wife Orianne Cevey after the two had a very, very expensive divorce in 2008 and set a record for the settlement.
Orianne revealed the news during an interview with Swiss newspaper SonntagsBlick.
"I call Phil now again as my husband. We are so close that it actually makes no difference whether we are married. But we are determined to get married one day a second time," she said.
"Love was never completely gone. [It] was just on another level. We've known each other for 22 years, 15 as a couple," she continued. "Now we feel both the same thing: We should never have diverged. The separation was the wrong decision… We are meant for each other."
The couple, who are founders of Little Dreams Foundation, is certainly getting back together against all odds. They were married for nine years and have two children together, sons Matthew, 11, and Nicholas, 14.
In their divorce settlement, the "In The Air Tonight" singer paid his soon-to-be re-bride $46.68 million. The split made British legal history because of the amount.
Phil has three children from two previous marriages: actress Lily Collins, 26, son Simon, 39, and daughter Joely, 43.
Orianne said she's ecstatic that the whole family can be there as they remarry.
"The important difference is that now our children can be there," she told the paper. "I imagine the next celebration will be more familiar and smaller. On our first wedding in 1999 in Lausanne, we had to invite many more people to not disappoint anyone."
"We were always very close, because of the children," she continued. "But just last year, I realized that he is indeed the man of my life."
Phil has been open about his relationship status with his ex and future wife, too. Last month he spoke to Billboard magazine about it, but the news went largely unnoticed.
"I'm actually back with my third wife -- I haven't really talked about it," he told Billboard magazine at the time. "We've been together for a while, and nobody's noticed."
Phil's rep, though, says Orianne is jumping the gun a little bit when it comes to marriage.
"While Mr. Collins is happy that he and Orianne are reconciled, remarriage has not yet been discussed," the reps said in a statement.
