Donald Trump completed the first 100 days of his second term as president on Tuesday, April 29. To mark the occasion, CNN compiled a list of all the inaccurate statements that riddled the president's return to office.

Abby Phillip discussed the president on the April 29 episode of
Newsnight and highlighted where the Republican has been deceptive.
"Good evening. I'm Abby Phillip in New York. Let's get right to what America's talking about — second verse, same as the first. Donald Trump spent his 100th night in office telling lies in front of a MAGA crowd, as the majority of Americans don't like what he's done, including upending the global economy," she said.

Donald Trump promised during his presidential campaign to bring down inflation, but he has yet to fulfill his commitments.
"Speaking of lies and false claims, CNN's Daniel Dale showcased 100 of them from the first 100 days, and here are just some of the topics: Groceries, eggs, bacon, apples, gas, inflation, Biden, Harris, trade, trade deficits, trade revenue, tariff deals, Honda, the 1800s, tax cuts, Zelensky, the start of the war, the state of the war, the end of the war," Abby Phillip listed.
"Ukraine aid, Europe paid, pipelines, phone calls, citizenship, walls, completion of walls, migrants, caravans, border crossings, jails, psych wards," she continued.

Abby Phillip continued listing the topics Donald Trump has lied about: "Hostages, world peace, South Korea, Japan, China, the E.U., Canada, NATO, Germany, Iran, ISIS, the Taliban, the Panama Canal, banks, the ocean, wildfires, L.A., water in L.A., electric cars, coal, gold medalists, autism, fentanyl, education, the media, COVID, the 2020 election, votes, voting, mail-in voting, youth voting, Wisconsin voting, voter fraud, polls, crowd sizes," she said.
"January 6th, the rioters, the investigation, the weapons, Nancy Pelosi, air traffic controllers, federal workers, Social Security and condoms," she continued.

Toward the end of Abby Phillip's monologue, she attempted to avoid depicting Donald Trump's impact on viewers.
