Members of the royal family were seen arriving at Buckingham Palace in cars, but David Armstrong-Jones, who isn't a working royal, chose a different method of transportation.
Armstrong-Jones was on his bike with a high-visibility jacket over his suit.

Fans praised David Armstrong-Jones for biking to his family gathering.
"I remember him showing up to an event like this a few years ago. Seems very down to earth," one person wrote on X.

"God, he's great isn't he," a second person wrote.
"David Earl of Snowdon would 100 percent be me showing up to a family party," a third added.

Threads, one fan pointed out the environmental benefits of David Armstrong-Jones' decision.

"The commute – on my slightly camp bike with a basket – only takes about 10 minutes," he shared at the time.
