Sarah Ferguson has taken a step back from public outings after her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein led to intense scrutiny. Due to the scandal, Ferguson is no longer included in royal gatherings."Sarah Ferguson, everyone feels sorry for, but again, the King is making provision for her, she has been divorced from Andrew now for 30 years, and she is still kind of hanging in there," royal biographer Andrew Lownie said on the "Sunday Morning" podcast.

"So I think a lot of divorced wives would be absolutely thrilled to have the sort of relationship that Sarah Ferguson seems to have with the royal family," Andrew Lownie continued._
Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor are now on the outskirts of the monarchy, as their ties to Jeffrey Epstein damaged their reputations. Ferguson called Epstein a "supreme friend" in an email after denouncing his violent crimes, leading to charities and businesses cutting ties with the author."I abhor pedophilia and any sexual abuse of children and know that this was a gigantic error of judgment on my behalf. I am just so contrite I cannot say," Ferguson said after her letter was exposed.
