Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield thinks the family won't reconcile with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry if they continue to use The Firm for financial gain. "And as long as the family keeps that distance, Harry's popularity will continue to suffer."_
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who left The Firm in 2020, are struggling to find success in America. Although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry retain their titles without being working royals, that could change when Prince William becomes king. "He [Harry] must really fear that William will strip him, Meghan and [their two] children of their titles when he succeeds to the throne," royal biographer Tom Bower told The Mirror. "They are on borrowed time and vulnerable now, because I don't think there is anything they can do to reverse the hurt they have caused Kate [Middleton] and William, and William is still furious."_
After Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson were stripped of their royal titles over their connection to Jeffrey Epstein, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry fear they could be next. "I don't think Meghan realized until Harry told her that his uncle had lost his title, that that is a reality," Tom Bower said. "I don't think she, or any of us, realized they could be so ruthless. I can only imagine she's now sitting there thinking, 'What are we going to do?' Because without the titles, who is she? But she is betraying the royal family every time she uses the title."_
