Private journals from columnist Kenneth Rose has revealed what Princess Margaret really thought of Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson.
"Princess Margaret says: 'How glad the family will be to be rid of the wives, Diana and Fergie,' " Rose wrote, per Daily Mail.

Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson's royal marriages ended in the same year, but the Princess of Wales' romance with King Charles III was particularly tumultuous. In a now-famous interview, Diana revealed that Charles's relationship with Queen Camilla led to the breakdown of their marriage.
"There were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded," Diana famously said.

While Princess Diana and King Charles III's split was tense, Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor remained close. The former couple continued living together at Royal Lodge until the ex-duke's eviction.
Sarah Ferguson often described their dynamic as amicable, and she later told
Financial Times they were the "happiest divorced couple in the world."

"Andrew and I call it divorced to each other, not from each other . . . Compromise. Communicate," Sarah Ferguson continued. "Say what you feel . . .
