According to a report, Edward Lane Fox — who's been working for the Invictus Games since its inception in 2014 — exited the organization in February. The staffer is a close ally of Prince Harry and served as the royal's private secretary from May 2013 until May 2018. Edward also helped Meghan Markle with public relations during the couple's 2018 wedding.
Despite the end of the 75-year-old's time with the company, a source claimed he and Harry remain "genuinely close" and that Edward continues to be a "bridge between Harry's old life and new."

The latest exit from the international multi-sport event for wounded, injured or sick service members and veterans comes as many have called for Prince Harry to back away from his leadership role at the organization."It seems it is hard to convince people that you are a philanthropic force for good when there are so many unresolved issues with your own family, who you have accused of being racist and uncaring," a source said of the father of two's rift with his relatives. "If Harry were to resign as patron of Invictus, I'm sure they would have no trouble finding a new royal patron."
