Princess Anne knows how to save her money. In a documentary ranking the richest royals, the 75-year-old — who ranked surprisingly high — was praised for her "frugal" habits over the span of her career as a working member of the firm.

the film, Princess Anne ranks as the fifth richest member of the royal family due to her "notoriously thrifty" tendencies. "Next on our royal rich list is the notoriously thrifty princess, who has been quietly amassing a fortune," the documentary states. While the entire list ranging from
King Charles III to
Sarah Ferguson hasn't yet been revealed,
Princess Beatrice and
Princess Eugenie reported tied at No. 8.

Princess Anne has also been praised as one of the hardest-working members of the royal family. "Princess Anne is the best value for money the royal family has. She works more than any other working member of the royal family and she's completely frugal. I don't think she's been on a shopping trip for decades," royal expert Charlotte Griffiths said of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's daughter. The philanthropist has been taking on royal duties since she was 21, with her starting salary reportedly around the equivalent of 100,000 pounds in today's money.

Princess Anne's wealth is also wrapped up in the value of her property. Queen Elizabeth II gifted her daughter the 730-acre Gatcombe Park mansion as a wedding gift in 1976 when it was thought to be worth about 750,000 pounds. It's now valued at 6 million pounds. Anne also has a collection of jewelry worth a reported 5 million pounds.
