According to
People magazine,
Prince Harry showed his consideration to the royal family by sharing his schedule with them in advance of his trip home to the U.K. The move also could've served as a first step to finding time that worked for both the Duke of Sussex and his estranged older brother, Prince William, to meet in person. But the Prince of Wales reportedly ignored the apparent peace offering.

While it's unlikely that Prince William will meet with
Prince Harry after the Duke of Sussex disparaged him in his memoir,
Spare,
King Charles III reportedly spent time with his younger son during the trip. "It's clear there is now a determination on both sides to make this happen. Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry," an insider told
The Mirror. "For the first time in a long time, there's a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach."

When King Charles III was first diagnosed with cancer,
Prince Harry traveled to the U.K. to see him, but the duo hadn't reunited since then. "After 20 months apart, and with the king continuing his treatment, the feeling is that the time is right to take that step,"
The Mirror's source said. "This is not about grand gestures or set-piece meetings – it's about a simple face-to-face conversation between a father and his son. The priority is privacy and dignity, but also ensuring the door stays open for further dialogue."

The source went on to claim that Prince William wasn't interested in reuniting with
Prince Harry, saying, "Any chance of reconciliation between them has been rejected out of hand."

Prince Harry admitted that he wants to end his feud with the royal family after previously painting the monarchy in a negative light. "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious," the Duke of Sussex told the
BBC in May.
