Less than two hours before Kate Beckinsale was scheduled to appear at a Comic Con panel in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Saturday, July 29, an Iowa man was arrested at the Tampa Convention Center for stalking the actress, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

TMZ reports Terry Lee Repp, 45, was nabbed early Saturday morning after police were warned he might attend the Q&A session where the "Underworld" series star was set to speak. Kate rescheduled her panel from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. so she could file a report.
"(Repp) appears to have an irrational obsession with (Beckinsale) and has traveled across the country in an effort to harass her," the police report read. "[His] actions have caused [Kate] substantial emotional distress and caused her to fear for safety,"
Last year, the same man reportedly touched Kate's back and threatened to stab her at an event in Salt Lake City, Utah. The same year, he was detained by police after allegedly following her to Houston.
Meanwhile Kate, whose drama "The Only Living Boy in New York" hits theaters Aug. 11, is rumored to be enjoying a new romance with comedian and actor Matt Rife. After the pair was spotted kissing outside Villa Lounge in Los Angeles in June, multiple publications reported Kate, 44, and Matt, 21, had been seeing each other for a couple of weeks.
"Everyone in Kate's circle loves Matt and are so supportive of this relationship," a source told "Entertainment Tonight" at the time. "He really is the sweetest guy and makes her so happy."
