She's back on the bottle! Just weeks after Adele revealed that she'd been sober for nearly four months, the singer is now itching to tipple again. The 16-time Grammy winner has often spoken of her love for red wine but noted that the drink throws off her voice, so she's refrained. However, now that she's on a break from her Las Vegas residency show, Adele is promising to imbibe.

Adele is clearly excited to have some time off.
"I'm just going to chill. I'm annoyed as well that I'm sick because this is red wine weather," she told a crowd attending her "Weekends With Adele" residency show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. "I stopped drinking, but obviously now I'm ready to start again because it is my break."
"I can't drink red wine ever when I'm singing because I don't know about you, but red wine f**** me up. I cannot handle it," she added.

Now that she's on break, Adele is ready to "treat" herself with an expensive bottle of Châteauneuf-du-Pape that she's had stashed away.
"A glass of red wine tips me over the edge. I have the worst hangover, my whole mouth and tongue turns red. I look like a disaster and it just gets rid of my voice," she said.

Just last month, Adele spoke of how much she misses alcohol while telling fans she was nearly four months sober. Sobriety, she said, was "boring."
"I stopped drinking maybe like three and a half months ago. It's boring. I mean, I was literally borderline alcoholic for quite a lot of my 20s, but I miss it so much. I cut out caffeine," she said, according to The Daily Star.

While speaking about her temporary sobriety, Adele held a glass of red wine in her hand but didn't appear to drink it.
"I remember when I came [to Las Vegas] in Covid, in lockdown, it was 11 a.m. and I was definitely like four bottles of wine in — like we all were," she said. "I said in 2020 that I wanted to put my album out. And we were all at home just drunk basically."
