"Bachelorette" star Jason Tartick is doing well and only suffered bruising after being hit by a car in Nashville this week.
While detailing the scary incident on Instagram, the reality TV star recalled walking his dog Pinot and getting "cranked by a car." The dog was unscathed in the incident.

After a day of golfing, Jason said he and Pinot were at a crosswalk while his fiancé, former "Bachelorette" star Kaitlyn Bristowe, was ahead of them with their other dog, Ramen.
"We go to walk and boom, car comes flying in hot, sees us, hits the brakes and cranks me, absolutely cranks me," he said. "It was a red light [for the driver.] Guy should have stopped. He blew through it to make a right-hand turn."
Jason, who filed a police report, continued, "I don't know what angel was looking over us. I don't know who was watching our backs."
The "Bachelorette" fan favorite noted that he wasn't texting, which saved him from more serious injuries.
"I hip checked into the hood of this minivan…so I dented the hood," he said, adding that he immediately checked the wellbeing of his dog and then screamed at the apologetic and stunned driver.
Luckily, he suffered a bruised leg and sore butt. "[I am] the luckiest in the world because I got cranked by a car and that's it."
In closing, he urged drivers to stop at red lights and implored pedestrians to always be aware of vehicles on the road.
"If I was texting, I'd probably be dead right now," he said. "Keep your head on a swivel. Just because you're at a crosswalk doesn't mean you're safe."

After posting his video, Kaitlyn commented, "Still shook from this. So glad you guys are ok I can't even handle the sound I heard! Everyone be safe out there."
