While Lindsay Lohan opened up her mouth last week and spouted out a strange, unidentifiable accent, leaving many puzzled. Her mother, Dina Lohan, wasn't one of them.

In the now-viral interview, LiLo was promoting her Greek nightclub and spoke English, but she managed to sound odd. She essentially attributed her accent to being linguistically educated. Her mom backed up her daughter's new sound.

"She is a worldly person, that is what makes her so special and so beautiful," Dina told Entertainment Tonight. "She taught herself to speak French, Arabic, Hebrew and the list goes on. She has a very high IQ and is very intelligent and can pick up any language in a minute. She has that gift."

No one can seem to identify Lindsay's new accent, but it's a mix of Russian-British-Turkish-with-a-dose-of-Long-Island.

The oft-troubled actress spoke to the Daily Mail about her voice, saying, "It's a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn."

"I've been learning different languages since I was a child," she said. "I'm fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic."

Lindsay's father, Michael Lohan, didn't seem surprised by the accent or his daughter's explanation either.

"Lindsay picks up languages like I pick up a coffee," he said. "I will tell you this. She has spoken other languages to me on the phone. Languages I don't understand. I'll be on the phone with her and I'll hear her say something in fluent Farsi to a friend she's with."

The actress seems to know that her new accent has the Internet buzzing and even joked about it, tweeting to the Daily Mail, "@DailyMailUK what should I call me new accent? I'm thinking #LILLOHAN.... We should let the people decide."
