Hilaria Baldwin's 2020 just got hit with a setback… or, rather, a step back.
On Nov. 16, Alec Baldwin's wife revealed that she broke her ankle.
"I went for a run and a car passed fast on this patch or road with no shoulder where there was a berm. I ran up on to the berm to avoid the car and as I was returning to the road, I fell and broke my ankle," she wrote on Instagram. "It was silly and I'm frustrated and sad…but I'm determined to be positive and heal as quickly as possible."
The hardest and most frustrating part, she said, is that she can't hold her children.
Along with her caption, Hilaria shared an image of herself resting in bed with her elevated foot in a splint.
The 36 year old notes that after the accident, a man helped her get up from the road and waited with her until Alec showed up. Hilaria said she's "forever grateful" to that good samaritan, who's named John.
"Reminder: if you are on a country road: don't speed and please slow down around runners, bikers, children and go around. It's worth the extra few seconds it takes you," she said.
On her Instagram Story, Hilaria posted several photos from the bed, some of which show her leg and arms bruised from her fall.
