The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Bill Aydin's luxury car was stolen out of his garage on Monday morning in a brazen theft — it was found three hours later.
Jennifer Aydin, Bill's wife, first alerted her followers to the theft after sharing a security video of three men opening the garage — which is attached to their home — and then driving off in Bill's red California Ferrari. The crooks also appeared to take several pairs of shoes.
Although Jennifer and Bill were not home at the time of the crime, she said four of their kids were all inside the house. Her parents, a nanny and a childcare worker were also inside the home.
On April 4, just three hours after the thievery, Jennifer said the car had been located.
"Update: They found the car! I don't have details but thank you to the authorities and all fans and friends who used their outlet and networks to help find this car!" she wrote on her Instagram Story.
The crime was initially discovered after Jennifer's oldest son, Justin, came home and noticed all the garages open. He then saw that the 2016 Ferrari, reportedly valued at $200,000, was missing. Justin, it seems, just missed confronting the crooks.
"It was his instinct to go chase after them, and gratefully, my mom encouraged him to let it go," Jennifer told Page Six. "I'm so grateful that he did not show up to the house 30 seconds earlier to cross their paths."
"Him driving up with his Tesla would have blocked them from leaving. And who knows what they would've done in that moment," she continued. "They could have wanted to hurt him so that they could take his car, a Tesla. Or if they were armed, maybe something much worse."
Jennifer said she and Bill have already beefed up their home security in the wake of the incident.
