As Melanie Brown's divorce from Stephen Belafonte intensifies, so do details of the former Spice Girl's lavish spending.
The DailyMail.com reported that Mel has essentially blown through the $43 million she made during her career. Her ex, who says he's homeless, is asking for big money in their divorce, reportedly requesting $4,300 for food and groceries, $2,000 a month for clothing, $11,000 a month for housing and $750 a month for his phone bill, which she called "exorbitant."
Mel's attorney, Jacalyn Davis, argues that Mel is just about as broke as Stephen.

Mel's money woes were "sustained through improvident lifestyle choices," her lawyer told the court, adding, "They never had money at the end of the year to pay their taxes. All their community income was being spent and then some. In this marriage, that would be Miss Brown's income from the Spice Girls."

Stephen and Mel reportedly spent money without fearing consequence.
The couple apparently had three armored cars, each retailing for nearly a quarter of a million dollars. The cars can withstand bullets, bombs and even chemical attacks.
Her money also went to jewels. It's well known that Mel loves her jewelry and often rocks items that ring in over $250,000. She's also spent about $575,000 on handbags, the Daily Mail suggests.
Mel and Stephen's vacations came with all the bells and whistles, almost always traveling by private jet. One time Mel cited a three-week Hawaiian vacation in which they rented a villa that came with a full staff and a butler.
"Because I'm always traveling with my kids, I always need something for their entertainment," she said. "There also has to be snorkeling and lovely sunsets."

In 2014, she revealed she bought a small island off the coast of Virginia, as well.
Of course, Mel's Los Angeles home is currently on the market for nearly $7 million. The home features panoramic views of the city and has a pool, hot tub, bar, cinema, gym and recording studio. They paid a little more than $4 million for the home.
Scary Spice also pays her staff $300,000 a year.
The list, it seems, goes on and on.
Scary is not only her nickname, but it can also apply to her spending habits.
