Lucy Hale was full of emotion on Instagram after her CW show, "Katy Keene," was not renewed for another season.

"I've kind of struggled all day with what I wanted to say about this, or if I shouldn't say anything … nothing felt right," she said on Instagram Live on Thursday. "I was like, I don't want to just post a picture or a caption because nothing would do justice to how I feel about 'Katy Keene' or how I feel with the people involved with it."
Lucy played the main character on the show, which she described as "one of the highlights" of her life.
"This is bad, this is a bad one … oh my God, sorry," she tearfully said, noting that this isn't the first time one of her shows hasn't been renewed. "It will take some time to get over."
In thanking the fans of the show, as well as the cast and crew, Lucy said, "I cannot stress how amazing you are, all the time, no matter what. You've just been there for me and you've supported everything I've done and like, what the f–k? I'm just so lucky. It's moments like this, I realize how lucky I am."
The show, despite the cancellation, is "timeless," she said.
"Sometimes things just don't work out and maybe it was just not the right time for it, I don't know, I'm a little confused," she said. "The show is not coming back and that sucks, but I'll hold my head high and who knows what I'll do next."
