"Selling Sunset" star Chrishell Stause claims she wasn't allowed to bring her partner, G Flip, to the People's Choice Awards this week, but her co-stars were all permitted to bring their significant others.
The reality TV star decided to publicly air our her grievances on Twitter on Wednesday, Dec. 7 after "one too many tequilas."
"I am on the sauce a bit so I will prob regret this later. BUT people's choice didn't allow me to bring my partner to the awards. I could ONLY bring a plus 1 if it was a cast member," she wrote, acknowledging her diatribe might get her excluded from a future PCA nomination. "EVERY single cast member invited and some had plus ones. I was nominated for best realty star and yet they said NO."
Chrishell isn't wrong, as Jason Oppenheim brought girlfriend Marie-Lou Nurk to the show. Heather Rae El Moussa had husband Tarek El Moussa, known for "Flip or Flop," by her side, too. Chrishell has been dating non-binary Australian singer G-Flip, who goes by they/them pronouns, since May.
Chrishell insists she didn't know others would be able to bring a guest until she arrived to the show. Ironically, G-Flip wasn't even in the country for the show, so they wouldn't have been able to attend anyway. Chrishell, though, says G Flip's trip wasn't known until recently.
"Up until a few days ago I was fighting to get them in and only to see everyone invited," Chrishell said.
Still fired up, the Netflix star penned, "If you are going to invite the whole cast of #sellingsunset @peopleschoice awards then why did my plus one HAVE to be a cast member or other wise told I do not get a plus one..??If no other cast invited then that would make sense but…"
Chrishell is still at a loss for answers. "Clearly what I was told was not the reason [she couldn't bring a guest] and no one tried to clear it up," she said.
