For Tia Mowry, weight loss was a marathon, not a sprint.
In 2018, the "Sister, Sister" actress welcomed her second child, daughter Cairo Tiahna Hardrict. Tia always knew she wanted to shed the baby weight, but did so at her own pace.
On Aug. 25, Tia, 42, revealed that her body is now back. She also detailed why she waited to "snap back."
"I've lost to date 68 pounds since giving birth to my daughter. I'm very proud that I did it my way and in my time. I didn't feel rushed to snap back. I enjoyed breast feeding and spending quality time with #cairo and my son #cree," she wrote on Instagram alongside a mirror selfie showing off her slimmed down body. "To all the women who are feeling pressured after birth. Do YOU! Do what makes YOU proud and do it in YOUR time. Not anyone else's."
Tia's fans applauded her for being authentic and real in her weight loss journey.
Vanessa Bryant, the late Kobe Bryant's wife, said, "Great job, mama!"
WNBA star Candace Parker commented, "It's weird as a kid I loved your show because it was dope and it was cool to see someone that looked like me on tv. But I picked a GREAT role model off set and in real life. Proud of you Tia ❤️❤️ you keep me inspired."
Last year, Tia spoke about her most recent pregnancy and all the fat shaming that came with it.
"I was called #fat during my #pregnancy and I was called #fat after my #pregnancy. Why do we do this to each other?" she wrote at the time. "Do I have loose skin and stretch marks? YES. Guess what?? I LOVE all me and I want you to love all of you too."
