Thousands of cars lined up on Sunday — some for almost 24 hours — to get their hands on Thanksgiving dinner being provided by Tyler Perry.

Earlier in the week, Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta announced that it was holding a food drive giveaway on Nov. 22 to the first 5,000 vehicles. The word certainly got out, as TMZ obtained videos showing thousands of cars lined up hoping to score a turkey and all the fixings.
The drive thru food giveaway, in which Tyler and his team gave away non-perishable food items and gift cards to needy families, was so popular that cars began arriving one full day prior, and the crush of cars only grew larger as the day and evening progressed.
Tyler and his team took precautions, as the food handoff was made curbside and all employees were wearing head-to-toe personal protective equipment. Families receiving food were also asked to wear masks and were required to stay in their vehicles.
The movie mogul is well known for his generosity. Earlier this year, as the pandemic raged, he famously paid the tab for all shoppers and grocery stores in Atlanta and New Orleans.
