CNN's chief data analyst, Harry Enten, discussed a new poll that revealed Elon Musk's approval rating continues to be on the decline. Ipsos revealed the tech billionaire has a -17 net favorability rating in the U.S. in comparison to his 2017 +24 rating. The study also discovered Musk has a shocking -91 net favorability among Democrats."How unpopular is he?" Enten asked during a news segment. "How low can you go? Oh my!"

Before aligning himself with right-wing politics, Elon Musk was a popular businessman and public figure."Whoa! He fell through the floor!" Harry Enten said. "You can't really go lower than that."
"I guess you could go down to minus 100 points. But he became political kryptonite," Enten said. "He was greatly disliked by the American public, and greatly, greatly, greatly disliked by Democrats."

In the early stages of Donald Trump's second term, the president praised Elon Musk as his businesses began to decline. However, Trump has noticeably decreased the frequency he discusses the Tesla founder."From January 20 to April 4, he posted about [Musk on social media] 40 times," Harry Enten said. "From April 5 onward, zero, zero, zero!"

Harry Eten thinks Donald Trump is aware of Elon Musk's declining popularity."Donald Trump knows brands very well. He knows political brands, and he knew that Elon Musk's political brand's time had run out," Eten speculated. "And therefore, Elon Musk is taking a step back from politics."
