The former couple, who had long been vocal about their relationship on social media and even attended prom together this past April, have given little explanation for their split.

Thorne has remained even more cryptic on Twitter and Instagram, sharing a photo of herself waving after she confirmed the split, captioning the shot "Buh-bye," and linking to the Jason Derulo independence anthem "Ridin' Solo."
