Busy Philipps owes Kim Kardashian, Kate Middleton and Jessica Simpson a big thank you. The 33-year-old pregnant Cougar Town star told Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately Tuesday, April 2 that her second pregnancy has been much easier thanks to those fellow moms-to-be.
"I won the lottery! If you wanna get knocked up as someone on television, you want there to be the princess, Kim Kardashian and Jessica Simpson to also be pregnant, because it just takes all the heat off of you," the actress joked. "No one cares! There's, like, no paparazzi waiting at my doctor's appointments . . . I'm really excited about it!"
Since announcing in December that she is expecting her second child with husband Marc Silverstein, Philipps has, however, been snapped by a few cameras. After showing off her bare belly in a bikini in January while vacationing in Cancun, Mexico with pal Michelle Williams and her then-boyfriend Jason Segel, Philipps decided to don the bikini again more recently in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
"I was a little terrified," Philipps confessed of sporting the two-piece swimsuit. "You don't want to get photographed in a bikini [even] when you're feeling your best."
"That's why I moved into a one-piece," Handler, 38, joked. "I haven't even had a baby . . . I have no excuse."
But actress Kate Beckinsale was also staying at Philipps' resort and took some of the attention away.
"Oh, her body is so annoying," Handler quipped of the Underworld star, 39, who indeed looked completely flawless in a black bikini top and white bikini bottoms.
"I was looking at it all day long!" Philipps said in agreement. "I couldn't stop looking at it . . . and she's had a kid!"
"Well, her kid is like 14," Handler said of Beckinsale's lookalike daughter Lily with ex Michael Sheen. "But I don't even believe she had that baby," she jokingly added of her gorgeous friend.
