David Beckham has a lot of titles: Husband, father, soccer God, model. Now, he has a new one: Chaperone to his son Brooklyn!
The handsome Brit relayed a story to James Cordon on March 30, saying that he attended his son's Valentine's Day date a few years ago at the somewhat forceable request of his wife, Victoria Beckham.
"On his first date, which he was about 14 and a half, Victoria was actually in London. It was Valentine's Day and he said, 'I'd love to take this girl to dinner.' I said, 'OK, great.'" David recalled. "I spoke to Victoria and she was like, 'Really?' I said, 'Yeah, he's going to do it.'"

Victoria went along with the plan, but on one condition, that David went to the same restaurant on the same night.
"I was like, 'Really? You're gonna make me do that? She said, 'Yep. That's the only way I'm going to let him go,'" he said. "So we took him to a small sushi restaurant and he sat at the sushi bar and I sat about five tables back."

And now Brooklyn can even afford to pay for these dates.
"You know what kids are like! They want new soccer boots. They want new sneakers. It came to the point where he turned 14 and I thought, 'If you want something then go and work, and then you've got your own money,'" David said. "Much to his dismay we packed him off to the French café and he works there every Saturday and Sunday for a few hours. He gets his own pocket money."

With three other kids behind now 16-year-old Brooklyn in age, it won't be long before they start the dating circuit either. (David may become really busy chaperoning!)
And for any precocious little boys out there, the soccer stud has a message for you about taking his 4-year-old daughter, Harper, on a date. "When she gets to that age, I will be closer than [five tables away!]"
