Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi don't always get along, but they agreed on one thing at last night's American Idol: Scott MacIntyre didn't deserve to go home.
Simon Cowell made the final call to send the 23-year-old blind contestant packing, but said the panel was split 50/50 on using their wild card.
After MacIntyre performed Survivor's "The Search Is Over," DioGuardi was spotted gesturing angrily and talking very animatedly with the other judges.
DioGuardi kept arguing with Cowell until he called it -- and then she slumped in her seat.
A teary-eyed Abdul called MacIntyre, "an inspiration to the entire world" and "one classy gentleman."
Also in the bottom three on last night's Idol, which featured performances by Kellie Pickler and Flo Rida: Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai.
Next week, the remaining seven contestants will work with director Quentin Tarantino to perform songs from movies.
Jennifer Hudson will also sing her single "If This Isn't Love," and Miley Cyrus will perform "The Climb" from Hannah Montana: The Movie.
