The renovations come amid one tabloid's claim that George "dumped" his wife on her birthday after less than five months of marriage. Gossip Cop, however, says there is "no truth" to the report.

The couple, of course, has dealt with rumors of discord since the beginning of their relationship. However, for every doubter, there are more fans. But, George apparently didn't have his own fanatical movie admirers in mind when he and Amal decided to up the security ante in their home -- he was more worried about her and her career.

"Amal has high-profile clients in controversial cases," the insider told the magazine, explaining the need for Amal and her files to be protected. "She needs to be secure."
