Kate Gosselin and Kathy Griffin both brought a bit of humor -- and humility -- to "The View" today.
At the top of the show, the ladies announced that Kate's hair was named one of the year's most memorable hairstyles by People magazine.
"My hair is a 'don't' though," she said, eliciting laughs from the crowd. She smiled coyly and pointed to her newly re-styled locks and added, "not this though." Her famous cut (often called a 'reverse mullet') has been updated with wispy curls by the show's Emmy-Award winning hair stylist.
She addressed the most recent rumors surrounding her split with hubby Jon Gosselin, in which he has been linked to a former nanny. Kate said "alarms and whistles" went off about the use of the sitter, who was hired after they split and whom she'd never met or approved. "Both parents should be involved in the hiring of babysitters," she said.
"I'm not saying [the story] is true or false," she added. Jon denies the affair.
Later in the show, Kathy Griffin walked out showing off her new book, Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin, which is number one on the New York Times non-fiction list.
"I like those sort of books, those tell-all books," she said, before pointing to Kate and joking, "you know, like your everyday life."
The laughs kept coming when they showed Kathy spoofing Kate in a skit from "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
When she first saw it, "I caught myself cracking up out loud," Kate said of Kathy's imitation. "You're awesome."
