After more than 10 years of marriage, Camille Donatacci filed for divorce from actor Kelsey Grammer Thursday in Los Angeles. ET has the details inside the court papers.
Under her legal name Camille Grammer, 41-year-old Donatacci filed divorce papers, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She seeks primary physical custody of the couple's children -- daughter Mason, 8, and son Jude, 5. Donatacci is also asking for spousal support and lists June 28 as the date of marital separation.
Grammer, 55, tweeted in defense of his soon-to-be ex-wife Thursday: "Had some bad news to deal with today. I am hoping that people will be respectful of our privacy during the divorce process. We have issued a statement asking that our children be respected as well. I would like to add that I know people will be tempted to say some mean things. I realize that it is human nature but I ask that you be particularly sensitive to the feelings of my wife. She has been a terrific partner for many years and should not be treated with any disrespect at this time. Things fell apart between us. That is all. She is still the mother of my children and any disparagement of her will only hurt the children. Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it. I appreciate your kindness for all parties in this matter. Especially for her and the children."
The former "Frasier" star who currently appears on Broadway in La Cage Aux Folles, wed Donatacci in August 1997. The union was Grammer's third marriage.
