According to New York Post gossip column PageSix, Duff was paid half of the money up front, with the rest to be handed over once the publication hit newsstands.
After the edition shifted only a reported 290,000 copies, magazine bosses allegedly wanted to cut the price of the deal.
But a spokesperson for OK! refutes the rumor, telling PageSix: "This was a mutually successful endeavor."
