From It Girls to CoverGirls!
Meet Olivia and Miriam Nervo -- better known as DJ duo Nervo -- the newest easy, breezy, beautiful faces of iconic makeup brand CoverGirl.
The Australian-born sisters, named among DJ Mag's 2012 Top 100 DJ's poll, bring some serious girl power to the company, having opened for Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on the 2011 Femme Fatale tour. As "brand correspondents" -- alongside fellow fierce CoverGirls Pink and Janelle Monae -- they'll "encourage fans worldwide to dance to their own beat," according to a press release.
"The Nervo sisters are paving the way for women in a male-dominated industry," CoverGirl vice president Esi Eggleston Bracey said in a statement, praising their cutting-edge style and "immense" musical talent. "Their determination is inspiring to all young women working to break barriers and create their own path."
"We're both so excited to join CoverGirl and be part of an iconic brand that shares our beliefs," Olivia "Liv" Nervo added. "It's been really important for us to stay true to ourselves, our style, and our musical choices throughout the years. We believe individuality is a trend that will always be in style and that every woman should rock what makes them unique inside and out."
Echoed Miriam (a.k.a. Mim): "We believe beauty is a form of expression, just like music, and when done right, it makes us feel bold, beautiful, and free."
