There is less of Melissa McCarthy to love these days.
The "Tammy" actress appeared to be much, much lighter on her feet on Nov. 16 as she attended a Los Angeles education benefit.

It's very apparent that the funny lady has shed some pounds in recent months.

How? Star Magazine claims the thinner body is from a low carb-high protein diet.
Melissa, however, isn't one to spend a lot of time worrying about her weight.

In July, she told People, "My weight? It is what it is. Like most people I know, it's like, you gain a little, you lose a little. You have a good hair year, a bad hair year, you manage money well, you don't manage it that well ... your entire life is ebbs and flows and ups and downs. And you could get hit by a bus tomorrow. It's about being content. And sometimes other priorities win."
