Nicole Richie has every intention of tying the knot with Joel Madden. Some day. In a sit-down with CNN's Larry King set to air Thursday night, the starlet, who's expecting tot No. 2 with her ink-stained boyfriend of two-plus years (their daughter, Harlow, is 16 months), answers in the affirmative when the suspendered one asks if they're going to get hitched.
"Eventually, yes," she says of their nuptial plans. "I think for both of us, we are going to do it because we want to, not because that's what you do."
Richie was joined in the interview by dad Lionel, who expressed his hearty approval for the Good Charlotte front man.
"Love him. Love him," gushes the well-preserved crooner. When asked if he'd like them to get married, Lionel gives an answer that earns him major dad points in our book.
"I want them to take their time," he explains. "I'm more interested in whether they like each other and whether they're best friends. Because that means they'll be great parents forever." Go on, you know you want to say it: Awww.
Meanwhile, in decidedly less lovey-dovey romance news, did Josh Brolin take the whole Big Easy thing a little too far while filming on location in New Orleans? In Touch claims the actor, who's been in town shooting "Jonah Hex" with Megan Fox, was spied looking friendly with a woman who wasn't wife Diane Lane during a night out at a local watering hole last week.
"They looked a little too close for comfort," an eyewitness alleges to the mag, which says the pair eventually decamped for what's fuzzily described as a "private location."
Brolin's rep adamantly denies the story.
This isn't the first time the actor has been on the receiving end of bad publicity in Louisiana. Last year, he was busted after a bar brawl in Shreveport (the charges were later dropped). Four years earlier, Brolin was arrested for spousal battery after a dust-up with Lane, an incident their rep labeled a "misunderstanding."
Meanwhile, Mel Gibson is also in denial mode, with his well-paid peeps pooh-poohing rumors that he's agreed to settle a mountain of cash on pregnant girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
His rep tells the Chicago Sun-Times that there's no truth to talk that the Oscar winner plans to pony up $10 million to Oksana after she squeezes out his eighth offspring (he has seven kids with his estranged wife of 27 years, Robyn), plus another $40,000-a-month in child support and money for the kid's education.
Gibson's mouthpiece calls the story "absurd."
And finally, Chace Crawford may be preparing for summer by picking up a swimsuit model of his very own. The New York Post says the pretty boy "Gossip Girl" star (and future "Footloose" hoofer) was on the receiving end of a barrage of texts Sunday night from Sports Illustrated blonde Esti Ginzburg, who will appear with him in the upcoming flick "Twelve."
Seems an eagle-eyed spy spotted Ginzburg, 19, constantly messaging Crawford, 23, during a party, which she apparently ditched in order to rendezvous with him.
But Esti should proceed with caution when it comes to having casual text with Chace. Last year, he ended his romance with Carrie Underwood via the impersonal communication method.
