He has five gold medals, three silver and three bronze to his name after the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, but it's gold fashion accessories that Ryan Lochte wants to be known for next. "I love fashion," the New York-born swimmer -- known for the jewel-encrusted American flag grill he sported in London last summer -- says in a preview from the premiere of his E! series What Would Ryan Lochte Do?.
"My dream is to have my own apparel and accessory line. I want everyone to be in my shoes walkin'," the athlete, 28, continues, giving cameras a tour of his massive, 150-pair shoe closet -- and the items he personally designed ("from top to the very sole") and branded with his name. "I want that edge . . . the Lochte Edge."
Providing fans a glimpse at the swimmer's life in and outside of the pool as he trains for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games, What Would Ryan Lochte Do? -- premiering Sunday, April 21 at 10 p.m. (EST) -- promises to please, according to E! Entertainment President Suzanne Kolb. "Watching this show, I believe people will fall into three categories: they want to be him, sleep with him or mother him," Kolb said in a press release back in January of the network's new reality star.
