Entertainment Tonight -- The First Dog has officially arrived at the White House! Read on for all the details.
Meet Bo, the six-month-old Portuguese water dog who was presented to the Obamas as a gift from Sen. Edward Kennedy, says The Washington Post.
The paper says first daughters Malia and Sasha named their new pooch Bo after their cousins' cat, also named Bo, and after Michelle Obama's father, who was nicknamed Diddley (i.e. Bo Diddley).
The handsome pup was supposed to be kept a secret until Tuesday, but after news of his identity leaked on the Internet, the White House opted to release photos of the First Family enjoying their new best friend early.
