While more help is needed, Wyclef Jean has already raised over $1 million for victims in Haiti with a text-based campaign in which cell phone users send "Tele" to 501501 for an automatic $5 donation.
Wyclef teamed up with "Give On The Go," a fundraising division of Red Fish Media.
"100 percent of the donations that are made are given directly to the charity," says Matt McKenna, president of Red Fish Media. "Our goal is to raise $1 million per day for the sufferers of this catastrophe. We are delighted to be chosen by Wyclef as the exclusive mobile donations provider for the Yele Haiti foundation."
Meanwhile, ET and the Red Cross have come together for the Haiti earthquake relief effort to lend support to those in crisis.
