Katt Williams is resting not-so-easy in a Georgia jail cell after being arrested for assaulting a clerk at a pool supply company.
TMZ reported that the comedian was cuffed and booked after he had a verbal altercation with an employee, which eventually escalated. Katt reportedly threw something at the clerk and punched the employee.
Katt reportedly got on the ground and put his hands behind his back, ready to be cuffed when police arrived.
Katt is no stranger to the law. He's been arrested several times before, as evidenced by the arrest procedure.
He's being held on $5,000 bail.
Really, it's been a rough go for Katt recently. Aside from the arrest, he's found himself in a bit of a verbal war with one of Hollywood's biggest stars, Kevin Hart.
"I've already proven that if the best they got in comedy is Kevin Hart then — don't you boo a black man working hard, baby," he reportedly told a crowd Atlanta on Feb. 27, adding that Kevin is a "puppet."
"Just because I'm better than some black dudes doesn't mean I'm better than no black dudes," he said. "I'm saying if you want to be mad at Kermit The Frog, don't be mad at Kermit The Frog. Be mad at Jim Henson."
He continued, "I don't care nothing that happens to Kevin, I just wish him the best. I just know that that's somebody's hand stuck up that baby, you understand. Oh, we're a puppet show, boo boo. Please believe it."
Katt said he's no "puppet." He later went on to compare himself to the legendary Richard Pryor and made explosive, albeit incredibly unsubstantiated, accusations about Kevin, saying see did sexual favors to get ahead in Hollywood.
Katt's disdain for Kevin has been boiling for several years.
In 2014, Katt claimed Kevin owed him because he paved the way for his career by "telling Kevin Hart's people how to make Kevin Hart."
On Feb. 28, perhaps in reference to Katt, Kevin posted an image to Instagram of him with fellow comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle.
"True professionals understand the importance of sticking together & supporting one another," he said.
"At the end of the day we are comedians & there aren't many that make it to level that we have made it. But so many doors are opened from the success of one comedian & when you see those doors open you then have the opportunity to walk thru them"
He continued, "It's about helping one another not trying to tear each other down!!!! The insecure ones will never understand what "Support & encouragement" #Message #DopePic #Legendary."
