After Meghan Markle shared a picture of herself working from her laptop with an As Ever candle and nod to the royal family, critics quickly had something to say about the product placement.
"Another example of Meghan putting her royal cipher on pretty much anything, you can see it on her notebook in the latest Instagram Story," one X user said.
"I rather think that was the point. Pretty difficult to sell a candle for that price if it's not royal," another noted.

"For the life of me, I do not understand her obsession with all things royal," one person wrote, as Meghan Markle and
Prince Harry publicly complain about the monarchy, but continue to use their titles.
"It means absolutely nothing to me as an American," someone else shared. "I find the royal family interesting, but have no desire to have a royal title."
Another person called Meghan "cringey" for using it in the first place.

When Meghan Markle and
Prince Harry announced their engagement, the palace shared an official logo for the
Suits star, which included the letter M with a crown above it.
After leaving the U.K. in 2020, the pair have continued to attack the prince's relatives.

While promoting With Love, Meghan and As Ever, Meghan Markle once again threw jabs at the royal family.
"I had to wear nude pantyhose all the time," Meghan told The Circuit, when asked about her time in the U.K.
"Let's be honest, that was not very myself. I hadn't seen pantyhose since the '80s, when they came in the little egg? That felt a little bit inauthentic, but that's a silly example," she added.
