According to royal expert
Richard Fitzwilliams, Meghan Markle's return to Hollywood and
Prince Harry's alleged desire to mend relations with
King Charles III are making things difficult for the duo. "Harry would very much like to see more of his father, especially as he has said publicly, he doesn't know how long he will live for," the journalist told
The Mirror, referring to His Majesty's cancer battle. "It's also Charles' birthday very soon and that will no doubt trigger more feelings of regret for Harry. But Meghan is focused on her commercial success. Her brand is currently far enough removed that it shouldn't be damaged, and she will certainly want to keep it that way. The levels of toxicity are such that there is certainly potential for damage to be done."

While
Prince Harry has hinted at wanting to be closer to the royal family, Meghan Markle is adamant about staying in California. "Meghan's decision to appear as herself in a Hollywood comedy film definitely emphasizes her shift towards the United States," Richard Fitzwilliams said. "But Harry still feels very deeply about his homeland and would like to spend more time in the U.K. The same cannot be said for Meghan, so there's a clear divergence in opinions there."

Meghan Markle has been booked and busy, as she signed on to play herself in the upcoming Amazon Prime film
Close Personal Friends alongside
Lily Collins,
Brie Larson and
Jack Quaid. The Duchess of Sussex has also been socializing with the Hollywood elite, as she and
Prince Harry attended Kris Jenner's star-studded birthday party.

Royal insiders are allegedly revolted by
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Hollywood pals. "It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what
Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy," a source told
Page Six.
