Princess Anne is often present to greet foreign dignitaries, but the royal was unable to enjoy lunch with Donald Trump due to a scheduling conflict. Anne serves as the Patron of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, and the princess was visiting Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen while the president was enjoying lunch with King Charles III."We are delighted that The Princess Royal, as Patron of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, has visited Robert Gordon University as we mark 100 years since Margaret Barr Fulton became the United Kingdom's first qualified occupational therapist here in Aberdeen," Professor Steve Olivier, who is the Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Robert Gordon University, said, per Daily Express.

"It was a fantastic opportunity to welcome The Princess Royal and give our students the opportunity to speak to Her Royal Highness and showcase the important clinical skills they are learning ahead of making a significant impact on the communities across the North East of Scotland and beyond," Professor Steve Olivier continued._
Odeth Richardson, who is the chair of the council, pointed out how Princess Anne was able to witness how occupational medicine has advanced over the years."Today's visit was a powerful reflection and showcase of the past, present, and future of occupational therapy. It was inspiring to meet current practitioners and the next generation of occupational therapists, whose innovation and dedication in the workforce will continue to shape the ongoing positive impact occupational therapy has on people's lives," Richardson noted.

Even though Princess Anne missed out on lunch with Donald Trump, the president praised the U.K. and the royal family during a state banquet, which she attended"The bond of kinship and identity between America and the United Kingdom is priceless and eternal. It's irreplaceable and unbreakable," Trump said. "Seen from American eyes, the word special does not begin to do it justice."
