According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles III and
Queen Camilla gifted Donald Trump the Union Flag that flew above their residence on the day of his inauguration earlier this year. The royal couple also gifted the president a leather book made by the bindery in Windsor Castle to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Charles and Camilla gave
Melania Trump a silver and enamel bowl adorned with the queen's cypher that was made by Northern Irish artist
Cara Murphy, a renowned silversmith who has created works for Downing Street and the Grand National. The first lady also received a personalized Anya Hindmarch handbag. The Trumps also walked away with a silver frame engraved with the royal cyphers.

Donald Trump and Melania Trump, meanwhile, gifted King Charles III and Queen Camilla a replica of one of former President Dwight D. Eisenhower's swords. According to Buckingham Palace, the sword symbolizes the "profound respect" between the United States and the U.K. and serves as a "reminder of the historical partnership that was critical" to winning WWII. The sword also symbolizes "the enduring values and co-operative spirit that continues to define the relationship between the United States and Great Britain." Additionally, the Trumps gave Camilla a vintage Tiffany brooch.

During the lavish state dinner hosted by the royal family, Donald Trump raved over King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton. "This is truly one of the highest honors of my life. I have such respect for you and such respect for your country for many decades," the president said in a speech. "Melania [Trump] and I are delighted to visit again with Prince William and to see Her Royal Highness, Princess Catherine [who's] so radiant and so healthy [following her battle with cancer] — so beautiful. It's really a great honor. … We had a very sick country one year ago. And today I believe we're the hottest country anywhere in the world. Together we've done more good for humanity than any two countries in all of history."
