Most Successful Child Stars

Parade 1 / 17

By Drew Mackie

The general rule states that the TV and movie moppets don't grow up into famous adults, whether as a result of cuteness-disabling puberty or being exposed to Hollywood at a young age. But some have made the transition. Let's take a moment to salute these young actors whom we loved as kids and now love as successful, functional adults.

Emma Watson

Child star claim to fame: starring in "Harry Potter and the

Sorcerer's Stone" at age 11

Why she's successful now: Though the whole "Harry Potter" crew has been successful, we're giving Watson props for not letting the giant pile of money she's earned turn her into a brat. Also, ol' Hermione proved she has both a good head on her shoulders (in addition to the cute haircut) for choosing to attend Brown University rather than spending her movie earnings on, say, leather pants and big sunglasses.
