Amanda Bynes' parents are back in control of her finances after a judge granted them a conservatorship.

The news comes a day after it was reported that the "Hairspray" star's stay at a Los Angeles-area psychiatric facility was extended 30 days because she was "too ill" to be released.

In legal documents filed by Amanda's parents -- and obtained by TMZ -- they claim that Amanda is a "substantial risk" to herself and others. The parents cite her recent DUI arrest, her shoplifting accusation and her overall bizarre behavior in the petition.

Perhaps more interesting, though, is her parent's claim that their daughter spends "alarming amounts" of money by purchasing jewelry for strangers. The purchases have been "extensive," they claim in the documents.

According to TMZ, her parents say their daughter's net worth is currently $5,747,703.36, but that is dwindling rapidly as she blows through her savings. And allegedly her only income last year was from a rental propoerty and totaled $144,768.
