NEW YORK (AP) — British television productions have received seven International Emmy nominations, including best actor and actress nods for Jason Isaacs and Joanna Vanderham.
Isaacs, best known for playing the villainous Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, has been nominated for "Case Histories," in which he portrays an Edinburgh-based private detective with a tragic past.
Newcomer Vanderham was plucked out of a college for her debut role in "The Runaway," in which she plays a young girl who grows up on the streets of London's sleazy Soho district in the '60s and '70s.
The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced 38 nominations in nine categories on Monday, including five for Brazil and four for Argentina.
