On the heels of reports that Simon Cowell has been encouraging Lauren Silverman, the future mother of his baby, to settle her messy divorce from her real estate developer husband as quickly as possible, she's done just that.

The Silvermans reached a deal on Wednesday, reportedly resolving issues related to both their prenuptial agreement and custody of their 7-year-old son.

TMZ says Lauren will walk away from the decade-plus marriage with joint custody, along with slightly more than $2 million, which is less than the $4 million said to be listed in their prenup.

One of the sticking points in the settlement talks was said to be the issue of where Lauren would live. Cowell, who is currently enjoying a yachting holiday in the south of France, supposedly promised her one of several multimillion-dollar properties he owns in Beverly Hills.

But TMZ reports she'll remain near her son in Manhattan. According to the New York Post, the "X Factor" judge has been searching for a rental pad for her, and they recently considered one in the $20,000-a-month range.

Andrew named former pal Cowell as a co-respondent in his July 15 divorce filing from Lauren, citing "acts of adultery" and "cruel and inhuman treatment."

"The matter has been resolved," Lauren's lawyers tell Us. "And the parties have moved on."

Adds Andrew, "As I've said all along, my priority was resolving this quickly for the sake of our son. Lauren and I both love him very much, and I'm looking forward to starting a new chapter in our lives."

And how.

"They hate each other," a source adds to Us, "and [the split] was in the works for a long time. Better to get it done now."

Meanwhile, an insider tells TMZ that Simon and Lauren are "still very much together," although a spy recently relayed to People that he didn't plan to see her "in person until things calm down."
