There's been an addition to the Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos household, and fans of "Live with Kelly and Ryan" will recognize the new face.

The talk show host announced that she and her husband officially adopted a Maltese/ Shih Tzu mix that was featured on the show's Happy Pets segment last week.
Kelly was immediately smitten with the dog and wanted to adopt her. But, she wanted to make sure that her other rescue dog, Chewie, was okay sharing space with another pooch.
"The Consueloses have made a decision to adopt Lena," Kelly said on her show on March 16.
In hoping that the dogs would mix well, she sought advice from a dog trainer friend, and it worked.
"My whole fear was that I didn't want Chewie to feel replaced in any way," Kelly said, adding that they've slightly changed the dog's name from Angelina, which was her name in the shelter. The new name, however, might not stick.
"My kids want her to be named Leia, as in Princess Leia, because we have Chewie," she said, referring to "Star Wars." "I don't know. I need guidance."
Ryan Seacrest, who was listening to the adoption tale, reminded Kelly that her kids won't be living with the dog full time, as almost none of them are living at home anymore. For now, she joked that she's calling the dog both Lena and Leia.
"It's exciting," Kelly said. "Let me just say this, if you're thinking about getting a dog, call your local animal shelter. Those dogs are just dreams."
