Lea Michele's old 'Glee' castmates call out her on-set behavior in response to Black Lives Matter tweet

On June 1, Lea Michele took to Twitter to join the ranks of dozens of stars sharing their outrage over George Floyd's treatment and death at the hands of Minneapolis police officers on May 25. But her words struck a false chord for several of her old "Glee" co-stars.

"George Floyd did not deserve this. This was not an isolated incident and it must end. #BlackLivesMatter," tweeted Lea, who played Rachel Berry on "Glee" for all six seasons and earned Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her performance.

Actress Samantha Marie Ware, who appeared on 11 episodes during season 6 of the hit FOX show and has since been on "What/If," "NCIS: New Orleans" and "Margot vs. Lily," replied with a tweet of her own that took issue with Lea weighing in on how people treat each other.

"LMAO REMEMBER WHEN YOU MADE MY FIRST TELEVISON GIG A LIVING HELL?!?! CAUSE ILL NEVER FORGET," Samantha wrote in all caps. "I BELIEVE YOU TOLD EVERYONE THAT IF TOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY YOU WOULD 'S— IN MY WIG!' AMONGST OTHER TRAUMATIC MICROAGRESSIONS THAT MADE ME QUESTION A CAREER IN HOLLYWOOD…"

"Community" star Yvette Nicole Brown responded to Sammie's tweet, "I felt every one of those capital letters." After seeing that comment, "Glee" actor Alex Newell — who first appeared on the show during season 4 and more recently appeared on "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" — added "Felt like claps!!" then posted some GIFs supporting Sammie as well as the message, "I'm gonna say this one time… when my friends goes through something traumatic I also go through it… that's what friendship is… and if you can't understand that then you're part of the problem… and that's on PERIODT! And I mean that for both sides of this coin!"

Longtime "Glee" star Amber Riley, who played Mercedes Jones, also waded in, though she stuck to GIFs, posting one of herself raising her hand as if she had something to add to the conversation, followed by another of herself sipping some tea. The implication was clear.

Actor-musician Dabier, who appeared on an episode of "Glee" in 2014, called Lea out by name in another all-caps tweet. "GIRL YOU WOULDNT LET ME SIT AT THE TABLE WITH THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS CAUSE 'I DIDNT BELONG THERE' F— YOU LEA," he wrote.

They're not the first "Glee" stars to weigh in on Lea's alleged on-set behavior. In her 2016 memoir "Sorry Not Sorry," actress Naya Rivera — who played cheerleader Santana Lopez on the show — opened up about their roller coaster working relationship.

"One of the Glee writers once said that Lea and I were like two sides of the same battery and that about sums us up. We are both strong willed and competitive — not just with each other but with everyone — and that's not a good mixture," Naya wrote, as reported by E! News. "As the show progressed, though, that friendship started to break down, especially as Santana moved from a background character to one with bigger plot lines and more screen time. I think Rachel — erm, I mean Lea — didn't like sharing the spotlight."

Naya continued, "On top of that, she had a hard time separating work from our outside friendship, whereas it was a lot easier for me. I'm not offended when people offer feedback or criticism, and if things get heated on set, I try to keep perspective. We're all stressed, yes, but we're all working toward the same goal, so laugh it off and keep it movin'. Lea was a lot more sensitive, though, and it seemed like she blamed me for anything and everything that went wrong."

According to Naya, "If I'd complained about anyone or anything, she'd assumed I was b—-ing about her. Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually it got to the point where she didn't say a word to me for all of season 6. Lea and I definitely weren't the best of friends, and I doubt we'll ever sit on her couch and eat kale together again, but the rumors of our 'feud' were blown out of proportion."

Fashion forward

Christian Siriano dishes on Emmys fashion expectations

Famed fashion designer Christian Siriano believes celebrities will be more comfortable than ever at this year's Emmys.

While some celebrities say they plan to dress up for the virtual award's show, it's likely that many looks won't exactly be ready for the red carpet.

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

"I think it's a mix of classy, fabulous pajamas, or elevated suits that are comfortable. Maybe a few slippers," Christian told E! News. "I think actors and actresses right now, they want to be themselves, and a little more who they are. I think that's really nice to see."

Over the years, Christian has dressed numerous stars for award's shows. This year, he said, will be the "toughest" awards season in terms of fashion.

"It's the weirdest awards season ever in the history, but honestly 2020 bring it," he said.

The Emmys will indeed be vastly different this year. Although Jimmy Kimmel will host from the Staples Center, no audience will be attending due to the COVID-19 pandemic, nor will there be a red carpet.

Producers will also send camera crews or camera equipment to all the nominees, meaning there will be about 140 live feeds coming in from around the world.

One of the show's executive producers, Ian Stewart, told Variety, "They might be at home, they might be in the garden, might be in a hotel, they might be standing on the side of the street. It doesn't really matter, wherever they feel comfortable. But we want to bring every nominee that we can logistically, live into the show."

He added, "We're not trying to make the Zoomies, we're trying to make the Emmys."

Love lines

Dina Lohan pens love note to fiancé she's still never met

No doubt about it, Dina Lohan's heart has been taken.

This week, Lindsay Lohan's mother penned an emotional note to her fiancé and partner of six years, Jesse Nadler… a man she's still never met in person

MediaPunch/REX Shutterstock/Twitter

"My fiancé Jess Nadler is the sole catalyst for getting me in shape and healthy mind, body, and soul. My powerful love for him is nothing I have ever felt in my entire life," she wrote, according to The Blast. "No one has ever been such a powerful influence on me and I thank god for bringing me him."

In July, Dina spoke about getting in shape because she dreams of being cast on "Dancing With The Stars."

At the time, Jesse credited himself with Dina's new fitness motivation.

"I have talked Dina into a strict health [regimen]," he told Page Six. "It was the only way I would give her a chance with me."

Dina noted, "I'm doing this whole mind, body and soul plan, and so is Jesse for himself to get in shape. At our age, it's very important to be in shape."

Dina and Jesse's romance has been unconventional to say the least. They've been off and on for more than half a decade, but their romance has been strictly online or over the telephone, since they've never actually met face to face. In June 2020, they got engaged when he sent her a ring in a mail (he later added that he was "confused" when Dina said she was engaged, despite having sent the ring.) Then, in mid-July, they split up, only to get back together a few days later.

"She doesn't want me to go, but I need her to live a healthy life," Jesse told Page Six after the split. "It really comes down to that. I want a healthy, solid woman as a wife."

He even implied that he was getting ready for the single life.

"I'll set up 'my house' in Westhampton Beach. I wish I was setting up 'home' with Dina, but I don't think it's in the cards," he said, adding that Dina needed to make the next move. "The ball is in Dina's court. If she can get us down the court and slam dunk health and positivity, me and Dina can have a nice life together."

Weight goal

Holly Madison reaches goal weight 4 years after welcoming son

Holly Madison is back to her pre-baby weight.

On Sept. 18, the reality TV star posted about her long journey to shedding pounds, indicating that she intentionally took her time.

View this post on Instagram

Yeah, I'm excited that I finally reached my goal weight but I also wanted to point out that it took me four years to get here. Losing weight just wasn't my first priority after having a baby, sorry 'bout it. I had an easy time losing the weight after my first pregnancy, but after the second one, the extra pounds were just hanging on. I was working on a novel and I was terrified that if I went on a diet I would be hungry, cranky, lightheaded and unable to concentrate. I tried to lose weight just by working out and moderately watching what I eat at first, but even though I was doing really challenging workouts almost every day, nothing was budging. It wasn't until I finally went to a nutritionist a year ago that I started making any progress. I had to know what foods worked with my metabolism before a diet became effective. Only recently was I able to incorporate both a diet and exercise into my day. For a while, it was a struggle because it seemed I only had time for one: workout OR make sure I had all the foods I need to stick to my diet. I just wanted to share that as kind of a disclaimer to this picture because I know there are so many moms out there who feel bad because the don't always lose the weight quickly. The same methods don't necessarily work for everyone. Just remember, if you haven't made it to your physical goal yet, it's because you're a boss with a million things going on and you are probably killing it more than you think you are. ❤️ *Swipe to see what I looked like right before I had Forest.

Holly was afraid that a diet might change her mood or leave her unable to concentrate.

"I tried to lose weight just by working out and moderately watching what I eat at first, but even though I was doing really challenging workouts almost every day, nothing was budging," she said in her refreshingly honest post.

Personal destruction

Dwayne Johnson rips security gate down after power outage

Dwayne Johnson just laid the smack down on… well, his front gate.

Broadimage/Shutterstock

On Sept. 18, the actor revealed that he ripped a metal gate off its hinges with his bare hands after storms caused a power failure, preventing the gate from actually opening.

"Not my finest hour 🤦🏽‍♂️, but a man's gotta go to work," he captioned a photo that shows his iron gate on the ground and tossed to the side. "We experienced a power outage due to severe storms, causing my front gate not to open. I tried to override the hydraulic system to open the gates, which usually works when power goes out – but this time it wouldn't."

Amid all this, the "Jumanji" star called a repairman but was told it would take 45 minutes before someone could arrive.

"By this time, I know I have hundreds of production crew members waiting for me to come to work so we can start our day. So I did what I had to do," he said. "I pushed, pulled and ripped the gate completely off myself. Ripped it completely out of the brick wall, severed the steel hydraulics and threw it on the grass."

Needless to say, people were impressed by his strength… and maybe a little terrified.

"My security team was able to meet the gate technician and welders about an hour later — and they were apparently, 'in disbelief and equally scared' as to how I ripped it off," Dwayne said.

He added that the destruction was "not my finest hour, but I had to go to work."

Referencing his upcoming superhero film, Dwayne added, "And I'm 💯 ready to be BLACK ADAM."

Nasty split

Dr. Dre's ex files lawsuit over his most valuable trademarks

Dr. Dre's estranged wife has filed a lawsuit against the hip hop legend, claiming she co-owns the trademarks to some of his most valuable assets, including his stage name.

In the lawsuit, obtained by Page Six, Nicole Young claimed that not only does she co-own the name "Dr. Dre" and "The Chronic," the rapper's transformative album, but she alleges that the hip hop mogul is hiding assets so that she can't get to them.

PROMMER/EPA/REX/Shutterstock

Nicole claims she "caught [Dre] secretly transferring valuable trademarks he owned with his wife … to a newly created asset holding company that he created and controlled after he expelled his wife from their home, and before he threatened to file divorce."

"Two days after the threat, Nicole had no choice and initiated divorce proceedings," she continues. "Andre's transparent and reprehensible scheme to transfer these assets away, without Nicole's knowledge or consent, so he could retain more for himself in a divorce from his wife of 24 years, and the mother of his three children, is an epic failure and reveals the true nature of his character, or lack thereof."

In late June, Nicole filed for divorce from Dre, ending their 26-year relationship. The split has been contentious, as she's claimed she was forced to sign a prenuptial agreement (she also claimed Dre ripped up the paperwork a few years later, something he denies).

Broadimage/Shutterstock

Nicole argues that because she was with Dre, real name Andre Young, as he gained fame and notoriety, everything should be shared.

"After Andre forced Nicole out of their family home on or about April 2, 2020, he quickly plotted to secretly transfer their assets, to deny Nicole her equal share," she claims in her new lawsuit. "These valuable Trademarks were filed during Andre's years married to Nicole, which coincided with Andre's years of rising success in the music industry. The Trademarks are presumed to be community property pursuant to California Family Code Section 760. Because they were married, Nicole and Andre owned the Trademarks jointly, from the date of their first filing in 1997, and through 2013, by virtue of being community property owners."

"Andre now purports to own the Trademarks in full," she added.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Sources close to Dre told TMZ that the lawsuit is "ridiculous" and done simply to embarrass him.

"They were married in 1996. Chronic came out in '92 and Dr. Dre used his name since the 80's, so it's all his and his alone," a source said. Another added, "It's the act of a desperate woman who finally realized that the iron-clad prenup she signed doesn't win her the lottery."

Nicole is asking the trademarks be put in a trust, and she's also suing for damages and legal fees.

ageless wonder

Salma Hayek, 54, recreates bikini photo shoot from 1999

Salma Hayek has still got it, and she has the receipts to prove it!

On Sept. 17, the actress took to Instagram to post a photo from a 1999 ad campaign in which she rocked a brown bikini.

"This photo is from a European bathing suit campaign I did for H&M in 1999," she wrote alongside the series of snaps.

After posting the images, Salma was flooded with compliments. One person even commented that she could pose for the same ad campaign today. Perhaps she took note of that statement, because she essentially recreated the photo shoot on Sept. 18.

"2020: More than 20 years after my last post," she wrote alongside two images that show her relaxing on a diving board in a brown one-piece swimsuit. "Ready for the weekend! Have a great #Friday!"

Denis Makarenko/Shutterstock

The posts come a few weeks after Salma's 54th birthday celebration in Greece. Throughout the vacation, the "Frida" star shared several sun-soaked and enviable images.

"I am very grateful and proud for every single one of my 54 years," she captioned a photo of herself wearing a summery yellow dress with side cutouts.

On Aug. 31, she also took to Instagram to post images and videos from dinner – a dinner that got rowdy in the best way

The first image shows her sitting at the dinner table with an empty plate in front of her and a gold-plated olive branch pinned in her hair. A subsequent video, though, shows her slamming two plates onto the ground while others cheer — all of which was done in the name of Greek tradition.

"I started the night looking #fresh, patiently waiting for my dinner," she wrote in the caption. "Six hours later I was breaking plates like it's customary in #Greece."

Candace Cameron Bure discusses 'spicy' Instagram post

Candace Cameron Bure isn't about to apologize for posting an Instagram picture last week that some of her followers found controversial. In fact, she loves that the picture — which she dubbed "spicy" — stirred the pot.

On Sept. 11, the "Fuller House" star posted similar images with Valeri Bure, her husband of 24 years. One image showed Val sweetly kissing his wife as they stood on a bridge. In the second photo, taken on the same bridge, Val's hand cups one of Candace's breasts as she grins.

"Sweet and spicy," the actress captioned the dueling photos. "24 years and counting."

Some of Candace's fanbase, which she acknowledges is largely conservative, were critical of the image, dubbing it "inappropriate," among other things — one person even wrote that "the devil loves it."

AFF-USA/REX/Shutterstock

"I love the fact that so many people had an opinion on it. It made me laugh because I wasn't trying to make a statement," she told Fox News of the backlash. "This is just how my husband and I are. You know, we adore each other and we still have fun and we're spicy together."

She added, "We have a playful, loving marriage and I think that's why we're still married 24 years later. But I did respond because I always get bummed out when people have been married for so long and then I feel like the joke is always like, 'Oh, we're married – so that means we don't have sex anymore.' And it's kind of like that a lot. And so I thought it was just a cute, funny picture and it was playful and it's very much reflective of our personalities in real life."

AFF-USA/REX/Shutterstock

Several of Candace's celebrity followers found humor in the social media photo.

"Love you guys and congrats on second base!!!" Candace's "Fuller House" co-star Bob Saget joked.

Holly Robinson Peete wrote,"Wait/—- people are actually offended?????"

Candace thinks the judgers might want to look inside their own house if they're actually offended.

"I'm like, hey, guys, if you're complaining about the picture, maybe you might hope that your marriage is actually a little spicier than it is," she said. "But this is part of our healthy marriage. And I just wanted to say it because I had no shame in posting that picture. You know, nothing was exposed, I didn't think it was immodest. It was just two people having fun and we've been married for 24 years, but together for 26 years. So I just am like, hey, the playfulness doesn't stop just because you're married."

Broadimage/Shutterstock

In a separate interview with the Daily Mail, Candace had an even more direct message to those who think she and her husband are somehow immoral.

"For all of the Christians that are questioning my post with my husband's hand on my boob — my husband of 24 years — thinking it was inappropriate, it makes me laugh because it's my husband," she said. "He can touch me any time he wants, and I hope he does. This is what a healthy, good marriage and relationship is all about… I'm sorry if it offended you — I'm actually not sorry. I'm glad we have fun together after so many years. He can touch me all day long."

Still engaged??

Fans are questioning if Taraji P. Henson is still engaged

Is Taraji P. Henson still an engaged woman? That's what fans are starting to wonder.

AFFI/Shutterstock

The "Empire" star got engaged to former NFL player Kelvin Hayden in 2018, three years after the duo started dating. In early 2020, they appeared to be the epitome of happiness and were months away from getting hitched. However, he has not been seen on Taraji's Instagram in months.

Adding fuel to the breakup rumors, Taraji celebrated her 50th birthday last week in Mexico, and Kelvin didn't appear to attend the festivities. He also failed to mention her big day on his social media.

Taraji hasn't appeared on Kelvin's Instagram since Valentine's Day. Kelvin, meanwhile, last appeared on her Instagram in March. The last time she flashed her engagement ring was in April.

To be fair, the duo has been somewhat private about their romance — they quietly dated for two years before going public with their relationship. In 2019, Taraji revealed that they actually split at one point, and Kelvin had to claw his way back into her life.

Coincidentally, Taraji and Kelvin should be married by now. The two were set to tie the knot this summer, but the coronavirus pandemic forced them to postpone their nuptials.

"Our grandparents, my grandmother is about to turn 96, his is 86, how do we get them to the wedding now? Now, we are concerned, just trying to figure out the safest and best way," she told "Access Hollywood" in March.

Lisa Rinna blasted over 'move on' comment on Instagram

9021-oh, the drama!

Lisa Rinna is feeling the heat from her Instagram followers after telling them to "move on" — which many felt was a reference to her ongoing feud with Denise Richards

After the reality TV show's reunion aired, Lisa took to Instagram. "The future looks bright. Better not Bitter. Love you all!" she captioned a photo of herself. "Thank you for watching and let's for gods sakes Move on!!!"

Fans immediately pounced, claiming she's the reason for the never-ending storyline involving allegations that Denise Richards had an affair with former "Housewives" star Brandi Glanville — which Denise has denied.

"'Move on'…?" one person commented. "Hunny weren't you were the one bullying Denise all season? Lol. But ok."

Another said, "Now you want to move on after you dragged Denise??? You couldn't let it go for an entire season!! You should send her flowers for giving you a storyline."

"You say 'move on' but you're still being petty and dragging it out in your stories right now," yet another said.

A cavalcade of similar comments lit up the comments section on Lisa's Instagram post.

Broadimage/REX/Shutterstock

On Sept. 17, Lisa posted daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin's modeling photos. Some of her fans saw it as nothing more than an attempt to distract "Housewives" fans.

Last week, a slew of "Housewives" fans even called for Lisa to be fired from the Bravo show, and many argued that she's to blame for Denise's decision to leave.

"Gutted @DENISE_RICHARDS is leaving #RHOBH – blame it on @lisarinna," one person tweeted, prompting a chorus of others to agree.

Perhaps as a nod to the backlash, on Sept. 17, Lisa posted a text quote to her Instagram Story reding, "Let your past make you better, not bitter."
