Pamela Anderson rejects proposal, splits with soccer player boyfriend: Report

Pamela Anderson is single again after reportedly calling it quits with her soccer player boyfriend of over a year, Adil Rami, largely because she feels that he needs to be a more present father to his young kids.

TMZ reported that Pam pulled the plug after she declined a marriage proposal from Adil.

Although the split was her decision, it has left her "heartbroken," a source told Page Six.

"After spending this past week with Adil's cute twin sons … it broke Pam's heart that he doesn't see them enough, as he should, so she's moving out," the source said on Sept. 7. "Pamela feels she is the reason Adil doesn't spend enough time with his children. She is removing herself from his life so he can do the right thing and be with his kids."

The source added, "It's a selfless move by Pamela, a true romantic — and she is heartbroken. Adil has difficulty balancing his life with Pamela and what should be a healthy relationship with his ex, the mother of his children. It's typical of Pamela to sacrifice for her love. This is about his happiness and the sake of his sons. They need him more than her. She knows he'll thank her one day."

Pam, 51, has hopes the World Cup-winning French soccer player will reunite with the mother of his children.

The former "Baywatch" star has moved out of the home she shared with Adil.

Newly single, Pam is preparing to participate in "Dancing with the Stars France." She's also reportedly being wooed by a billionaire.

In early August, Page Six reported that Russian-British newspaper magnate Evgeny Lebedev had the hots for Pam, and her friends liked the idea of he and Pam together.

"Evgeny Lebedev has been trying to sweep her away for years," a source close to Pam said at the time. "They share a love of arts and have many intellectual interests in common. Pamela's friends think he's better suited to her."

One of Pam's high-profile friends, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, is probably delighted with news of the split.

"Julian Assange is also no fan of Adil," the source said. "In fact, before he was isolated and cut off from Wi-Fi and outside communication, he introduced Pamela to Croatian philosopher Srecko Horvat. Julian's position is if he can't have her, he wants her to be with someone smart and interesting."

Jason Momoa living in luxury RV after Lisa Bonet split: Report

On the heels of his divorce, Jason Momoa is moving — literally.

The Sun reported that the "Aquaman" star has been living in an RV parked at a friend's house in Los Angeles for the past few weeks. However, this isn't just any RV, as it's more valuable than most homes.

The Ford RV is customized and said to be worth $750,000. Photos published by The Sun show the actor entering the RV.

"He stays in it quite often and has opted to sleep in there instead of getting a hotel on set so he can be by the beach," a source told the British tabloid. "He's really not a private jet, luxury resort kind of guy."

Jason has owned the motorhome for some time, even taking it to the "Aquaman" premiere in 2018.

The friend's home where the luxury vehicle is parked isn't far from the $3.5 million residence he shared with ex Lisa Bonet.

Jason and Lisa, who share two children, announced their split on Jan. 12 after nearly 17 years together.

"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times … A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception … feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring," they said in a statement. "And so… We share our Family news… That we are parting ways in marriage. We share this not because we think it's newsworthy… But so that… as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty."

Rallying cry

Marvel star acknowledges attending anti-vax rally in D.C.

Evangeline Lilly is speaking her mind about her body.

The Marvel actress unapologetically revealed on social media that she attended the recent rally in Washington, D.C., to protest vaccine mandates.

On social media, the "Ant-Man and the Wasp" actress said she wanted to be present at the protest to "support bodily sovereignty."

Evangeline, 42, added that "nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will." She also believes that those not getting the COVID-19 vaccine are being threatened.

"This is not the way. This is not safe. This is not healthy. This is not love," Evangeline captioned a series of photos from the anti-vax rally. "I understand the world is in fear, but I don't believe that answering fear with force will fix our problems. I was pro choice before COVID and I am still pro choice today."

Evangeline included several hashtags in her post, including "medical choice," "medical freedom" and "body autonomy."

The rally that Evangeline attended was the same one in which Robert F. Kennedy Jr. compared vaccine mandates to the Holocaust. He has since apologized amid a slew of backlash, including from his own wife, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Cheryl Hines.

This isn't the first time the former "Lost" actress has caused COVID-related waves. In the early days of the pandemic, Evangeline caught flak after saying she had no plans to self-quarantine, despite living with her father, who is battling stage 4 leukemia and therefore had a compromised immune system. Around that same time she also compared COVID to the "respiratory flu" and told a fan, "Some people value their lives over freedom, some people value freedom over their lives. We all make our choices."

On March 26, 2020, she backed off her stance a bit and apologized.

"I want to offer my sincere and heartfelt apology for the insensitivity I showed in my previous post to the very real suffering and fear that has gripped the world through COVID19. Grandparents, parents, children, sisters and brothers are dying, the world is rallying to find a way to stop this very real threat, and my ensuing silence has sent a dismissive, arrogant and cryptic message," she said on Instagram. "My direct and special apologies to those most affected by this pandemic. I never meant to hurt you. When I wrote that post 10 days ago, I thought I was infusing calm into the hysteria. I can see now that I was projecting my own fears into an already fearful and traumatic situation."

Staying away

Decision made on future of 'The Wendy Williams Show'

Wendy Williams' departure from her eponymous talk show will continue.

On Jan. 27, producers of "The Wendy Williams Show" announced that Wendy will maintain her absence through at least early March. As has been the case all season, rotating guests hosts — including Fat Joe, Remy Ma, Michael Rapaport, Bevy Smith, Terrence J and Sherri Shepherd — will fill in for her.

Despite Wendy's MIA status, producers are not willing to put her on ice for the entirety of the season. "Don't overreach," a rep for the show told Page Six when asked if Wendy would sit out the remainder of the season.

Wendy hasn't been on the air in months. According to reports, she was voluntarily admitted to a New York City hospital in September 2021 for a psychiatric evaluation. Around the same time, her team announced that the premiere date for her 13th season would be pushed back two weeks. Since then, a platoon of guest hosts has helmed the show. Wendy has yet to return for her 13th season.

In December, she was seen leaving a wellness center in Miami wearing a red Versace robe and walking barefoot. When a photographer asked how she was doing, the daytime host replied in third person.

"Wendy is doing fabulous," she said before promising "lots more Wendy stuff."

There is growing chatter that "The Wendy Williams Show" could be on the chopping block as its namesake host continues to stay away.

Scary incident

Car crashes into Taylor Swift's NYC home

A man was taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation after crashing his car into Taylor Swift's New York City home.

TMZ said the man drove the wrong way down the road that Taylor's building is on. He then reversed and hit the building with his car. He also struck a fire hydrant.

After the Thursday morning crash, the man got out of his car and began trying to rip the intercom system of the apartment building off the wall, which pictures show he succeeded in doing.

Police arrived after 911 was called and the man was taken into custody. Cops reportedly believe the man was drunk and he facing potential charges for DWI and criminal mischief.

It's not known if Taylor was in her apartment at the time of the Jan. 27 incident.

The man seemed to know that the "Red" singer lived in the building, as he supposedly told law enforcement he wasn't going to leave the area until he met Taylor, which he didn't do.

Plane crash

John David Duggar reportedly crashed airplane one month before brother's trial

The Duggar family continues to deal with more turbulence.

According to a new report from People magazine, John David Duggar, 32, was piloting an airplane that crashed in Tennessee last October. The incident largely went under the radar, as the "19 Kids and Counting" family was prepping for Josh Duggar's child sexual abuse trial

A 911 dispatcher told People that the reality TV star suffered "double engine failure" and was forced to land in a field. The Humphreys County Sheriff's Department confirmed that the accident took place the evening of Oct. 29, 2021, in Waverly, Tenn. and involved "a family from Arkansas."

The National Transportation Safety Board's report said that in addition to John, two others were aboard the Piper PA-30 at the time of the incident. The report noted the damage to the airplane was "substantial."

No one was injured in the crash, nor is it known who else was in the airplane at the time.

John got his flight instructor certification in May 2021, and his commercial pilot license in November 2021. His wife, Abbie, is also a pilot.

Reports indicate the plane was registered to Medic Choppers and belongs to the non-profit Medic Corps, where John is the Director of Business.

Medic Corps' website said John began serving in emergency service as a Fireman and Emergency Medical Responder with the Fire Department, and he is also the CEO of Natural State Environmental Services.

The October 2021 crash came about a month before John's brother Josh's trial began in Arkansas. Josh pleaded not guilty to possessing and receiving child sexual abuse material. However, on Dec. 9, a jury convicted him and he faces up to 20 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.

Josh has appealed the verdict.

B-Day tribute

Wolfgang Van Halen honors late father on what would have been 67th birthday

Wolfgang Van Halen is remembering his late father, Eddie Van Halen, on an important date.

On Jan. 26, the 30-year-old shared a throwback image with Eddie to mark what would have been his dad's 67th birthday.

"Happy Birthday, Pop. I love and miss you more than you could ever know," Wolf captioned the snap that shows him and his father sitting on a staircase together.

According to a date on the photo, the image was taken in 1995 when Wolf was 4 years old.

The Van Halen guitarist died in October 2020 after a lengthy fight with cancer. Wolf tearfully announced the death on social media.

"I can't believe I'm having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning,'' he wrote at the time. "He was the best father I could ever ask for. I love you so much, Pop."

Just two months after the death, Wolf spoke to Howard Stern about his grief.

"I'm awful. It's terrible. Every day, man. Some days are better than others. The pain is still there always, but you just kind of figure out how to carry it a little better as time goes on. But it's always gonna hurt," he said.

"We had such a close connection and now, for the rest of my life, there's no way I'll never be able to think about him no matter what I do — which is good but also hurts a lot," he said.

Casting call

Cynthia Nixon meddled in 'And Just Like That…' casting because of lack of diversity in original series

Cynthia Nixon is one of the three pillars of the "Sex and the City" reboot, "And Just Like That…," but she didn't exactly jump at the chance to bring back her Miranda Hobbes character to the screen… At least not initially.

While on "The Drew Barrymore Show" on Jan. 26, the actress was asked, "Is it true that it was almost a difficult choice for you, something you battled with — grappled with — to do 'And Just Like That…'?"

Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock

Cynthia, 55, confirmed the suspicion, saying she needed the reboot to be more progressive.

"Well, yes, if you revisit something that was such a big part of your life and so iconic. I mean, it's a big step but also it seemed to me we are very different people now, we are very different ages now," she said. "We were in our early 30s when we started. We are 55, 56 now. And the world is very different. I wanted to be sure — and I think we all wanted to be sure — that when we went back we could save a lot of what was great about the original and fix what was maybe not so great."

What was, in her words, "not so great"?

"Like the fact that it was such an overwhelmingly white show," she said. "That we would really open up the door and invite these new characters in and really do right by them so we could get great actors and actresses to play them."

The reboot certainly features much more diversity than its predecessor. New characters include Sara Ramirez's Che Diaz, Cynthia's non-binary love interest.

Cynthia told Drew she "hand-picked" Sara for the part.

"I suggested them because I've been aware of them for so long and such a fan," Cynthia said. "I worked with Mike Nichols a bunch of times, especially when I was young, and he cast Sara in 'Spamalot,' for which they won a Tony. So I was always watching their career and stuff."

Photoshopping accusations

Kim Kardashian is again accused of Photoshopping bikini pic

Kim Kardashian deleted a social media picture this week after fans accused her of Photoshopping her leg to make it appear slimmer.

On Jan. 25, the reality TV star promoted a swimsuit from her new Skims collection in a slideshow of photos on Instagram. But one snap appeared to have been poorly edited: It showed Kim's leg somewhat warped, which led to the accusations.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

"Kim what happened to your leg?" one fan asked, according to Page Six, while another tweeted, "Kim, Kim, Kim… Your right leg is, uh…"

Kim quickly took down the photo, but she left up the other snaps associated with the post.

The mother of four has long faced accusations that she Photoshops her photos — she was even recently ridiculed for apparently editing niece True Thompson's face onto niece Stormi Webster's body following a trip to Disneyland. A majority of the time, though, Kim is accused of slightly changing her own appearance online with a digital nip-and-tuck.

The Photoshopping accusations come as a new study claims that "slim-thick" imagery online causes more body dissatisfaction amongst young women. The study conducted by Toronto's York University even mentions Kim and sister Kylie Jenner by name, alleging they, among others, are contributing to the uneasiness regarding women's body confidence.

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Researchers describe the "slim-thick" physique as "a curvier or more full-body type, characterized by a small waist and flat stomach but large butt, breasts and thighs." The study insisted that a "slim-thick" physique is difficult to obtain naturally and claimed that alterations are often done to achieve this body image.

Body acceptance influencer Mik Zazon told the New York Post that the Kardashians, and others, are guilty of "manipulating authenticity," especially via social media.

Citing Kim's psoriasis outbreak from 2019, Mik said, "They're sharing photos that seem to be candid and effortless to show that they are human too, yet putting extreme filters on photos and videos to uphold their image. It's so easy to see something and believe that because [Kim's] showing her psoriasis, she can't be editing other parts of her body."

The "slim-thick" body ideal actually caused "more weight and appearance dissatisfaction" than the thinner imagery, the study found, adding, "The slim-thick ideal was most harmful to women's appearance, weight and overall body satisfaction. [It] may still represent an ideal of beauty that women find threatening and personally unattainable."

Car crash

'Succession' star Nicholas Braun involved in fiery car accident

Nicholas Braun was involved in a fiery car accident in Los Angeles this week, but he's unharmed.

The "Succession" star took to Instagram to document the chaos, which apparently occurred while the actor's car was parked on the side of the street. While Nicholas's car was certainly damaged in the rear, the other car burst into flames.

"This guy hit my parked car today, I watched it happen. It was crazy," he said on his Instagram Story on Jan. 25. He also included video of a man trying to put the flames out with a fire extinguisher.

"It caught fire pretty quickly. This guy came outta nowhere with the extinguisher," Nicholas, who portrays Cousin Greg on the HBO series, continued.

Although Nicholas didn't detail the crash, it appears that the other car hit his from behind. "My car is fine. Just gotta pop out these dents and it's good to go," he captioned a photo of the damage to his SUV.
