The real reason Denise Richards isn't returning to 'RHOBH'

On Sept. 9, Denise Richards' rep confirmed that after two seasons on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," the actress will not be returning for season 11.

There have been conflicting claims about why the mother of three — whose exit follows months of drama surrounding former "RHOBH" castmate Brandi Glanville's claim that she and Denise, who's married to Aaron Phypers, had a brief affair (which Denise has denied) — is really leaving.

As Page Six reports, some Bravo insiders believe Denise wanted too much money to re-sign. However, sources close to Denise say she was over it and didn't even give Bravo a real opportunity to give her a new contract.

So which is it? A Sept. 14 report from Page Six cites a source who insists that the real reason Denise isn't returning is because she demanded an "excessive" amount of money to re-sign and Bravo wasn't prepared to pay her what she wanted.

"People think that she didn't want to come back and that it's because she got 'mean-girled' [by other cast members]. The truth is she did want to come back. But [Bravo] didn't want to pay her what she asked for. It was way out of her pay grade," a source told the New York Post's gossip column.

A source close to Denise, on the other hand, told Page Six that despite a rough second season, "Bravo called her last week to ask her if she wanted to return, and she took a couple of days to think about it." By Sept. 9, that source explained, Denise's agent had told Bravo Denise was done and it was over.

But the money-angle source says that's not the case: "She would happily have come back, but for a huge price." Execs, that source added, "negotiated a lot" with Denise's camp but the money discrepancy was too big to overcome.

According to Bravo exec Andy Cohen, "I'm just upset that we couldn't reach an agreement for next season, I'm kind of living in that sadness," he said on People TV's "Reality Check" segment posted on Sept. 11. "We were negotiating a deal with her and we couldn't reach an agreement on the deal."

Andy added: "She has a family and kids so I mean, whatever happened or didn't happen, I would imagine that it's something that maybe she didn't really care to discuss on a television show."

Darius Rucker linked to comedian after splitting with wife

A funny thing happened after Daris Rucker split from his wife of 20 years… he found love with a comedian.

According to Page Six, the Hootie & the Blowfish frontman has been quietly dating comedian Kate Quigley.

Darius, 54, announced on July 11 that he and Beth, his wife of two decades, had "consciously uncoupled." It's not known when he and Kate, 38, began dating, but she began writing messages about country music in early August.

"Country music is starting to grow on me," she tweeted on Aug. 2. Darius has since appeared on her Instagram several times. On Sept. 25, she posted a photo of her sitting on the country singer's lap.

"Can't tell ya how much I love these two" she said of the image with Darius and fellow comedian Bronston Jones.

Continuing to drop relationship clues, Kate and Darius attended Dave Chappelle's birthday party over the summer.

In addition, she's referenced her "boyfriend" on multiple occasions.

"My boyfriend is a dolphins fan. Now I get why he likes me so much. He has a thing for lost causes," she tweeted on Sept. 28. Daris has been a longtime Dolphins fan, even singing "I'm such a baby 'cause the Dolphins make me cry" in the hit single "Only Wanna Be With You."

Darius has been publicly mum about the relationship speculation. Kate, meanwhile, is wearing her heart on her head — of late, she's often worn a hat promoting Backstage Whiskey, a spirit Darius launched in 2017.

Troll job

Jake Gyllenhaal trolled by Taylor Swift fans for throwback pic

Jake Gyllenhaal might have just outed himself as a subject of a Taylor Swift song … at least that's what Swifties think.

John Salangsang/BEI/Shutterstock

Jake and Taylor dated back in 2010, and many have speculated for years that her song "All Too Well" is about the "Nightcrawler" actor, although that's never been confirmed.

On Sept. 28, though, Jake posted a throwback photo in which he wears glasses.

"I've worn my glasses ever since I parted my hair meticulously with gel (see above), which is why NEW EYES has always been near and dear to my heart," he captioned that photo, which was shared to promote New Eyes for the Needy, an organization that provides prescription eyewear to those in financial need.

The organization recently partnered with The Inspire Project, as well.

While the cause is certainly noble, the message may have gotten lost in comments section. Swifties pounced on Jake the moment the picture was posted, with a slew of them referring to line in "All Too Well" which says, "You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed."

One fan quickly replied, "Give taylor swift her scarf back." Another said, "u posted this pic and thought that the swifties would do nothing???? mistake."

A fan joked, "Reminds me of this song I know."

Many fans began asking Jake other questions linked to the song. "Were you on a tee-ball team too?" one fan trolled. Another said Jake was "talking about his past thinking the future," another reference to the song.

Swifties never take a day off.

Fans calling for Kyle Richards to apologize to 'psychic' over ring fiasco

Kyle Richards is facing major backlash over the ever-evolving story of a ring that was stolen from her home.

Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock

Last week, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star claimed on "Secrets Revealed" that a ring taken from her home during a 2018 burglary was being worn by a long-nailed psychic in Santa Monica, Calif. Kyle made this statement after the alleged ring bizarrely turned up on Diane Keaton's Instagram.

A few days after the claim, a TikTok user indicated that woman in the Instagram picture was her grandmother. Further, the girl was adamant that her grandma had owned the bauble long before Kyle burglary. Then, on Sept. 28, the woman, Diana French, appeared on "Inside Edition" and demanded an apology from Kyle while insisting that she's owned the ring for decades. To back her claim, Diana — who says she's a retired pharmacist, not a fortune teller — produced old pictures that showed her with the gold ring and the original appraisal from 40 years ago.

Fans are now coming the woman's defense and slamming Kyle.

"Apologize to the pharmacist for falsely accusing her of stealing your ring!!!," one of Kyle's Instagram followers angrily said.

Another wrote, "It's the woman's ring, given to her by her father after her mother died. How shameful, she deserves a major apology."

To be fair, Kyle never accused the woman of stealing the ring. She suspected that Diana innocently purchased the ring at a pawn shop after it was stolen, a claim that certainly appears to now be false. While Kyle didn't directly accuse Diana of heisting the ring, fans felt that, at the very least, she implied it.

Others noted the ring wasn't custom made, so there were certainly more than one in the market.

"You gotta apologize to that lady u calmed stole 'your ring' when there are probably hundreds like it," one person said.

The ring fiasco also came amid rumors that Kyle and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, were splitting. TMZ, citing sources close to the family, reported on Sept. 29 that the couple is on very solid footing.

The rumor appears to have started by a reality TV fan's single tweet. It would soon gain momentum. Still TMZ said Kyle and Mauricio are "not only doing well in their marriage — they feel closer than ever due to the pandemic."

Perhaps in response to the untrue rumors, Kyle posted a photo with her husband from a bike ride in Aspen, Colo. The photo angered some, as they harkened back to the ring story.

"You have time to be posting pictures so im pretty sure you also have time to APOLOGIZE to the poor lady who YOU ACCUSED of stealing "your ring"," one fan wrote. "Girl please you're not the only one with that same ring , OBVIOUSLY. It like saying hey thats my phone you stole it mine is gold too."

Inside Marie Osmond's forced departure from 'The Talk'

When Marie Osmond walked out the door at "The Talk" after just one year on the job, she didn't necessarily leave to "pursue other projects," as it was claimed. According to a new report, she was forced out by two of her fellow panelists.

Page Six claimed that Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood threatened to quit unless Marie was let go.

When the showbiz veteran announced on Instagram that she was leaving the show, she said she would be developing "several projects." Her exit message made it appear as though it was her choice to leave. That may not have been the case.

"Marie did not leave of her own accord, although she was encouraged to spin her departure that way," a CBS insider told Page Six. "Sharon and Sheryl threatened to quit unless Marie was canned. They pushed her to quit but when she didn't, they made an ultimatum to the network."

Fellow panelist Carrie Ann Inaba "pleaded with execs for Marie to stay but she wasn't successful changing their minds," the source said.

Marie's departure didn't set well with many fans.

"Now the show is facing extreme backlash on social media," the source said. "There are thousands of negative comments flooding their accounts."

However, another insider claimed no ultimatum was issued.

When asked about Marie's departure, Sharon recently told Entertainment Tonight, "We've had changes. People coming in and going. So we just go with the flow. I have to say that with four [hosts], we've got more time to talk."

Hours after photos emerged showing the late "Glee" actress's ex-husband, actor Ryan Dorsey, moving in with her younger sister, Nickayla Rivera, the model and social media influencer took to Instagram to defend their decision.

"In the darkest time of my life, the only thing that is important is my friends & family," Nickayla, 25, wrote on her Instagram Story late on Sept. 28. "Showing up for my nephew even though I can't show up for myself."

Nickayla made it clear she and Ryan are living together so that she can help raise Josey — Naya and Ryan's son who turned 5 on Sept. 17. Josey was the last person to see his mother alive. Sheriffs say his mother saved his life when she was able to get him back on their rented pontoon boat in her final moments before she tragically drowned in California's Lake Piru in July.

"I'm not concerned with the way things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure," Nickayla added. "What matters most I've learned, is to show compassion, not to judge others, & never take a moments of life for granted. I hope you all can do the same."

A report on indicated that following Naya's death, Ryan had grown close with Nickayla. The U.K. tabloid reported that the former in-laws rented a modest three-bedroom home together in Southern California. On Sept. 6, the outlet reported, Nickayla was photographed helping Ryan start moving his things from his home in North Hills in Los Angeles's San Fernando Valley to their $5,000-a-month rental.

According to, on Sept. 19, the pair "playfully held hands as they shopped in a local Target store." They were fooling around and chatting the whole time. They're obviously helping lift each other's spirits."

Psychic wants apology from Kyle Richards for stolen ring story

Round and round we go! The fortune teller who supposedly has a ring that was stolen from Kyle Richards is "demanding an apology" while claiming she's owned the jewelry for years.

The long-nailed psychic is set to speak to "Inside Edition" about the fiasco.

"Watch @InsideEdition TODAY as we reveal the lady behind the ring…and those nails!," journalist Lisa Guerrero tweeted on Sept. 28. "She's demanding an apology: That's no 'stolen ring'. She's had it for decades and has the evidence to prove it!"

Matt Baron/Shutterstock

Last week, Kyle claimed on "Secrets Revealed" that a ring stolen from her home in a 2018 burglary turned up on Diane Keaton's Instagram in 2019

"I was looking on Instagram and I saw Diane Keaton — she posted a picture of a psychic's hands on the 3rd Street Promenade and they had my ring on her hand… It was the craziest, craziest story," the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star said.

At the time, Kyle briefly tried tracking down the psychic, but to no avail.

"I want to know if she bought that from someone at a pawn shop, even if I have to buy it back from her, I'm happy to do that," she said last week.

The plot thickened on Sept. 25 when a TikTok user claimed that woman in the picture was her grandmother. The girl was adamant that her grandma had owned the bauble forever.

Grandma, the girl said, "has been working in a pharmacy for over 50 years [and] has had those rings for decades." The girl purportedly attached a photo from her 5th grade graduation to the TikTok post that appeared to show grandma with the ring.

"There's not enough words to express the hole left in everyone's hearts," Dorsey wrote in an Instagram tribute to Rivera after her death. "Life is all about good times and bad times but with Josey it makes the bad a little less so because a part of you will always be with us. He'll never forget where he came from. We miss you. Jordyn Woods reflects on Tristan Thompson scandal

A year and a half after the Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson scandal sent shockwaves throughout pop culture, the model is opening up about the fallout that occurred afterward and how she felt like it was her against the world.

Owen Kolasinski/BFA/REX/Shutterstock

"I remember just sitting in a very dark place. I had my family to talk to, I had you to talk to, but I just felt like I had no one," Jordyn said in an interview with Natalie Manuel Lee. "You take everything you think you know for a whole decade, the people you think you know, the life you think you know, everything that you've grown up doing and take it all away from someone. I didn't even know how to feel."

Jordyn has long maintained that Tristan, Khloe Kardashian's boyfriend, kissed her at a party on February 2019, but she says she never returned the kiss. Nonetheless, she was essentially blackballed from the Kardashian inner circle and she was essentially forced to move out of longtime BFF Kylie Jenner's house.

Chelsea Lauren/REX/Shutterstock

Amid the reports, many of them unkind to Jordyn, she said it wasn't difficult to avoid the rumors because she "deleted everything" off her phone.

"I wouldn't respond to anyone. I responded to about two people. I pushed people away that probably shouldn't have been pushed away but I just couldn't trust anyone. Everything in my life changed," she said, according to TooFab. "It's easy to make it seem like the world is against you and in that case in that moment, I did feel like everything was against me. The only thing I really had to lean on was my faith and my family. At some point in time, you're going to go through something that feels like your world is falling apart."

The situation — and the collapse of the world around her — forced her to look inward.

"Looking at the situation, 'Okay what did I do, what role did I play in this, how was I responsible, how can I be held accountable, how can I take responsibility for what happened?'" she said she asked herself at the time. "Things happen and that's what makes us human. But just acceptance and accountability and responsibility. I feel like people in this generation lack accountability and when you can't accept what you've done or you can't accept that, then you can't heal from it."

"It's easy to beat yourself up over things that you could have done differently," she continued. "You can't hold on to what you could have or should have done, you just have to accept what actually happened and then you can let it go. It might take you a month to let it go, it might take you a year to let it go but you have to start praying to be able to let it go."

Jordyn has since found happiness, as she's rumored to be dating NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns. However, she scandal was one of the more traumatic experiences of her life.

"A lot can happen in one year, a lot. A lot can happen in one day. A lot did happen to me in one day," she said. "Over months, and losing everything I thought I knew and gaining so much knowledge, you just can only be happy. The amount of strength I've gained in this year alone, nothing else could have shaped me to the person I am today."

When asked if she was happy that that scandal happened because of the strength gained, Jordyn said, "I'm not happy that people were hurt and people had to go through what they went through. It was a lot for everyone, my family, other families, friends and not in a million years have I had a negative intention to do anything bad to anyone that I love. I wouldn't say that I'm happy something like that happened, but I'm happy that I was able to become who I am today."

Covid violations

Salt Bae's Boston restaurant shut down over alleged Covid violations

Boston officials are feeling salty toward viral chef Nusret Gokce for allegedly violating COVID-19 restrictions at his popular restaurant.

Nusret, better known as Salt Bae, was forced to shut down the doors of his signature steakhouse after city officials found the restaurant packed with little social distancing and very few people wearing masks.

Sebastien Nogier/EPA/Shutterstock

Recently, Massachusetts began allowing dine-in service and allowed patrons to convene at the bar in groups of 10 or less. The steakhouse appears to have not enforced those restrictions.

Why officials even looked into alleged violations in the first place could have to do with social media. On Sept. 18, the restaurant's own Instagram showed a sea of people inside and outside the establishment. Further, a TikTok video went viral recently showing a woman twerking in the lobby of the restaurant while Salt Bae filmed her.

TMZ reported that the restaurant will have several hearings this week to respond to the alleged violations.
