The series finale of Gossip Girl featured not one, but two weddings!
Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) was the first to tie the knot, marrying Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) in a quickie ceremony in New York City's Central Park. Wearing a powder blue, hand-beaded Elie Saab Couture dress, Blair looked breathtaking as her stepfather, Cyrus Rose (Wallace Shawn), quoted Herman Hesse's Siddhartha while presiding over the couple's nuptials.
Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively), Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg), Lily van der Woodsen (Kelly Rutherford), Jack Bass (Desmond Harrington), Eleanor Waldorf (Margaret Colin) and Dorota Kishlovsky (Zuzanna Szadkowski) watched the on-and-off couple pledge to spend eternity together.
Given that police officers were moments away from questioning the newlyweds about billionaire Bart Bass' recent death, Blair and Chuck decided to "skip the 'I do' parts" and exchange their own vows.
"Three words, eight letters," Chuck said, referencing the first time they both felt like saying "I love you" but couldn't muster the courage to do so. Blair quickly responded, "One word, three letters, yes."
Later in the episode -- five years after Dan revealed himself to be Gossip Girl -- Serena and her high school sweetheart tied the knot, too. The bride wore a strapless gold and white Georges Chakra Couture gown and carried a large bouquet of flowers as Florence + the Machine's "You've Got the Love" played. Their friends and family -- including siblings Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) and Erik van der Woodsen (Connor Paolo) -- watched with pride as the Inside author and the Upper East Side socialite sealed the deal.
